Would it be fair to say that Kozel's "oilman's dream" has turned into "shareholders nightmare"?

I note the share price is gathering speed but it would do as its going downhill innit.

Malcy....

Oil price

Covid has reappeared on the oil price with today’s news of a potential further Covid variant which has closed borders again. As I write and ahead of next week’s Opec+ meeting crude is down some $4 per barrel.

These experts of whom you speak. Are they the same ones that have presided over 12 (14) wells in 12.5 years and can only manage low 40's production?

Or are they the experts that have provided shareholders with the share price of 1.8p down from £4.60?

I wish I could give all you delusionals some good news but it would seem that the City jungle drums beat out stuff that wouldn't bring cheer to you poor schmucks.

But its very likely another carrot will be offered up to appease those Insti's who will be extremely angry at not dumping at the overinflated price of £3 when they had the chance years ago. Could it be they believed in the stories of 55k a day being achieved easy cheap and fast and that the Reserves of the very heavy oil would have increased instead of decreased?

The fact is the shares are at lower price and just before an Ops update so any positive spin put on this by the company will be diluted due to all the reasons you mention.

Nice to see in your other posts about how changing the field is that you acknowledge how much of a high risk investment this is.

Leave it to the experts 😂😂😂

"I see it's still falling. They should rename this thread as the Excuses Thread."

So you don't understand what this is all about then Tony and think that's it's GKP specific.

Everybody except you and Bigdog can see what's happening, but here especially for you is a clue:-

"Covid: Shares hit as new variant rattles investors.

Stock markets across the world have fallen sharply after the discovery of a new Covid variant raised fears over the economic recovery.

Shares in airlines and travel firms were among the hardest hit."

If you need any more help let me know.

Or you could just turn the telly on.

The question is, Sbb1x, do you think it will fill? My view is that this will go where its controllers want it to go but that it will stay within striking distance of 195 on any given day's trading. If that mega trade goes through Equis it will go through at the UT for the LSE on that day and I believe 195 is the agreed price (all in my own opinion).

The Oil Boom has nothing to do with the Market its always caused by a demand/supply imbalance and we have a whopper coming next year.

US stock market fell 44% from Jan to Dec 1973. Oil market went from $3 to $12 from October 73 to March 74. So an oil price boom can happen during a general market collapse.

It's very doubtful if a boom in oil prices can take place at the same time as a sharp, severe slump in financial markets in general.

As Jeremy Warner reminded us in Wednesday's DTel:

"Greed is outpacing fear in world financial markets, Goldman Sachs chief executive David Solomon said in Singapore last week, adding that such periods of exuberance are usually not long-lived.
Investors are living in a “dreamlandR21; brought about by central bank money printing, Bill Gross, self-styled king of the bond markets, says."

There are many factors contributing to the forthcoming instability - Covid variant concern is only one of them.

The Industry has always been boom or bust. All Biden has done is make the coming "boom" bigger. Wait till potential Investors wake up to this fact.

"Recommend short at £2.00 and the price now is £1.83p"

Now then Tony.

How about throwing up the post where you predicted this which is what has dragged everything down this morning:-

"European stocks plunge 2.6% amid concerns over new Covid variant; travel sector slides 4%"

"Dow futures plunge more than 2% amid fears of new Covid variant found in South Africa"
