02/11/2021 16:39 | Malcy ..... Oil price Oil has started heading back up with a number of key influences scheduled for the next few days. The Bank of England doesn’t normally influence oil prices but tomorrow it will announce its rate decision and the market is expecting a modest hike of say 0.25%. Allied with that is the two day Fed meeting starts today and it will confirm that the taper will be initiated, the first step itself for inflation worries and rates rising over there. Of course the big daddy, the Opec+ Ministerial meeting itself is on Thursday and despite some rather limp criticism from the White House regarding gasoline prices I expect the monthly addition of 400/- b/d to be rubber stamped. But it’s not as simple as that, I reckon that there are a number of members of the expanded group that are already producing at or close to capacity which might keep the market tight. Whilst we know that some members can step up to the plate we all know it’s not like that. As for retail gasoline prices as per The White House questioning this week it has slowed down, at $3.39 a gallon it is up just 0.7c on the week but still up 20 cent m/m and a whopping $1.28 y/y. Finally it is election day in the US today and although there is not much excitement except maybe for the Virginia Governorship which could go Republican. | highlander7
02/11/2021 16:12 | Ho, ho, ho. Who ridiculed my opinion of big boots being filled! Looks like they think it will go up with payment news so they're taking what they can at this level. | pensioner2
02/11/2021 15:21 | GoatCam reiterates: "Company has a deep knowledge of the reservoir, materially de-risking production operations" | goatcam
02/11/2021 15:20 | With over 85 million barrels produced to date, the Company has a deep knowledge of the reservoir, materially de-risking production operations. With gross 2P reserves + 2C contingent resources of 798 MMstb, Shaikan is set to continue to produce for decades into the future, making a positive contribution to the region whilst helping Kurdistan meet its energy transition goals. 1P reserves to current production (January 2021) have a ratio of over 15 years, while 2P reserves to current production is over 30 years. | goatcam

Sign Up During Q3 2021 we have seen continued M&A activity within the global energy markets. A major contributing factor to this has been the price uptick of Brent Crude, jumping above $80 per barrel for the first time since October 2018. Brent is showing no signs of reversing during Q4 2021, with the natural gas shortages incurred throughout the quarter causing an extortionate rise in US and European gas prices, all resulting in Saudi Aramco estimating the shortage has added around 500,000 barrels a day to Brent consumption. | beernut
02/11/2021 12:56 | Paul’s winding em all up on Lse. Went from 1 post this am to 28 now. All of em arguing against his theory of Directors holding shares but not using any of Divi money to buy more shares as they’re all in on insider deal being announced. Certainly got em squawking. 😂 | beernut
02/11/2021 12:43 | LSERE: TAKEOVER Code Today 12:36Its highly unusual - several people - all with differing financial circumstances - behave identically.Stuart Catterall - Chief Operating Officer - just one of several PDMR with large holdings. He has 207,330 shares that have also earnt him around £ 70,000 quid in divs so far 2021He hasn't used that cash to buy any more.He also hasn't sold 1.IMHO he and the rest of PDMR and Directors that have been equally inactive either way , not dealt in the companies shares at all , because they have been brought inside a deal that will be announced shortly. | 40quidminimum |
