Problem with the Kashegan Pipelines is they are under the Caspian and under 6 - 12 ft of ice for 6 months of the year :)


Makes Shaikan look like the bargain it is.

IF this is accurate then it would be reasonable to assume that Chevron could be considering bidding for Shaikan - at least.

A dedicated Heavy Oil pipeline is time consuming AND expensive to build. They can build it while drilling new wells and the building the PF (s)to go with it.
