Dividend is of no importance as it will be paid in $ when GKP will be valued relative to gold. Has anyone of you tried to figure out how to value a stock relative to gold?

SULAIMANI — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Spokesperson Jotiar Adil said on Sunday (June 6) that the KRG plans to send oil and a portion of its non-oil income to Baghdad this week, potentially resolving an impasse over implementation of the federal budget.

Adil said during a press conference that he hopes Baghdad will reciprocate and send budget transfers to the Kurdistan Region in the near future.

Regarding public sector workers’ salaries, he said, the KRG will pay workers once every month under the framework of the reform law, but did not address longstanding cuts.

Under the 2021 Federal Budget Law, which passed on March 31, the KRG is supposed to receive 9.5 trillion Iraqi dinars ($6.5 billion) from the budget, which will be disbursed in monthly increments, in return for submitting 250,000 barrels of crude oil per day to Iraq's oil marketer SOMO for export and a portion of the income derived from customs duties at international border crossings with Iran and Turkey.

Those budget transfers would theoretically enable the KRG to pay full public sector salaries. For more than a year it has either not paid public servants or cut their salaries by nearly a quarter, leading to widespread frustration among the Region’s middle class.

"The two important files that will be sent to Baghdad this week are the Kurdistan region's oil expenditures file, and non-oil revenues," said Jutiar Adel, spokesman for the regional government, during a press conference, today, Sunday.

He added, "After the successive visits made by the Kurdistan Regional Government delegation to Baghdad, two important files will be sent to Baghdad during this week, one of them on the expenses of extracting and exporting Kurdistan Region's oil, and the other on non-oil revenues."

And regarding sending the salaries of Kurdistan Region employees, Adel said, "I most likely will reach this issue to the implementation stage, and part of it has already reached the implementation stage, and in the near future financial dues will be sent to the Kurdistan Region within the federal budget."

It is noteworthy that the House of Representatives voted on March 31, 2021, to approve Article (11) of the Iraqi Budget Law for the year 2021 related to the Kurdistan Region’s share of the budget.

The negotiating delegation of the Kurdistan Region, headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, held a series of meetings last week with the federal government in Baghdad, including a meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi, before the delegation returned to Erbil.

Talabani wrote, in a tweet on Twitter: "We are very close to a final agreement on a mechanism for implementing the budget law," adding that "there are good intentions from both parties, and adherence to the text of the law will have a positive impact on the financial situation in the Kurdistan Region, and will direct relations Between Baghdad and the Kurdistan Region towards a new stage.

Article 11 of the Iraqi Federal Budget Law for the year 2021 states that the Kurdistan Region must produce from its fields at least 460,000 barrels of oil per day, and after deducting production and transportation expenses and the quantity needed for local consumption and the share of petrodollars, the Kurdistan Regional Government must hand over to the federal government Daily revenues of at least 250 thousand barrels of oil at the price of SOMO. The Kurdistan Region must also hand over 50% of its non-oil revenues to Baghdad, so that the latter will spend its share of the general budget.

The Iraqi federal general budget for the year 2021 was estimated at more than 129 trillion dinars, and thus the Kurdistan Region’s share of the federal budget for this year amounts to 11 trillion and 482 billion and 394 million dinars.

Do not forget to vote for the AGM resolutions in favour of the two dividends. Cut off can be 10 days before the AGM which is on 18/6...

And then there is the double GKP dividends to look forward to, just 35 days apart ;-)

RNS of London Stock Exchange has only a 2 years history.
2) How many days left to register for voting at the AGM? Which is the last day? Do they reply to shareholders questions ?

Peak Oil Demand May Be Ten Years Away

The world is past peak coal consumption and may reach peak oil consumption within the next ten years, Alexei Kudrin, the head of the Russian Accounts Chamber, told media this week.

The official noted Russia will need to learn to rely less on oil export revenues over these next ten years. Otherwise, Kudrin added, this will become a serious problem in 20 years.

Meanwhile, investments are necessary now to diversify the Russian economy away from oil, Kudrin said, noting steps being made in that direction, specifically in the digitalization of the economy and in science and innovation.
