I'd say they'll give it until the Summer (just prior to AGM?) before really deciding on what they believe they'll need to do to survive.

I wouldn't rule anything out if crude remains this low for the next few months.

Currently the Kurd IOC's bend over and take it anyway the KRG want to give it.

What's your thoughts on the possible outcomes.

as far as I can see, the IR contracts (TSCs) offer(ed) better (faster) return of Capital Invested, but lower return or profit/bbl (Profit Oil in the KRG contract).

As Baghdad currently is finding it impossible to pay the IOCs their Capital Invested dues, and is also asking them to cut back production to help the Saudi-led efforts at stabilising the crude market, I cannot see what PSC variables they might be able to propose and expect the oilcos to swallow?

If they did get Baghdad to pay the IOC's (very much doubt it) would they demand a renegotiation of the PSC's ???

Oil price stopping low for the foreseeable future meaning Baghdad has the KRG by the nuts.

no need to apologise - i just found the $380M monthly sum mentioned rather interesting!

I don't hear any noises coming from Bahgdad re having any sort of appetite to support the KRI at the moment. I agree about the big black hole.
IR has more than enough problems down at Basrah - and they are trying to get the IOCs to reduce their agreed production levels and their Capex spends.

Hot summer of discontent in IR coming up...and the Sunnis around Mosul are starting to chaff at the bit again..and the more nationalistic in Baghdad are angry at TR for bombing so far S inside Iraq.

I see Brent has fallen back again.

Sorry I didn't see it, working like crazy at the moment.

Had an interesting chat with the Goats in the last couple of days in regards to the wording of the last RNS.

The cuts to the whole of the workforce and not just expats means they won't be restarting anytime soon.

Kurdistan falling into a very deep hole.

Good morning mac,

I mentioned that this was reported was in Oil Price last Thursday (other thread) so it seems to be the case.
The sum mentioned in that article was I believe around $380M per month.
I don't believe the KRI, despite their man being nominated as Finance Minister, have any more strong cards to play at the moment.

"Over a barrel" would seem to be appropriate...

The company is in survival mode as I said weeks ago. The dividends and buybacks were huge errors as I've stated. They will be saving every dollar possible because they are losing huge on every barrel produced and the KRG have no money. This will become even more evident in the coming weeks.
