That would have been approx 10% of the company at the time, so why wasn't this "person" listed on the website as a major shareholder as per regulations?

If you're saying what I think you are, you're a very dangerous person for that "friend" to have confided in.

Assuming you're telling the truth of course....

I hope the police finding my identity and address etc isn't going to take a further 7 months. I am willing to save time and contact them direct. Just give me the crime number, officers name and badge number. This inane nonsense has gone on long enough.

lifeson: the Thursday RNS said that the Open Offer shareholders would be notified of what they had received within 14 days of admission, and the Friday RNS said that the admission was at 8am that morning.

The normal practice is to announce, very soon after Open Offer applications are in, what the level of subscription is and how any scaling-back is to be applied. That hasn't happened in this case: it has been phone calls with people asking "what did you get?" and stuff on the blogs. I think there's probably some reason for that; as always, it's guessing games with GKP.

We had our excess applications scaled back; what seems to have happened is that a sliding scale has been applied, with people at the lower end getting all they applied for, and the fat cats (on diets lol) being increasingly cut back. I think that's a good thing to have done, it favours the smaller shareholders.

What the overall level of oversubscription was, I don't know. Anyone with (say) 100 million shares (and I was told before XMAS that there is such a person) could have applied for a maximum excess of 2 billion shares, which would have been cut back a lot. What I think happened is that there was a restricted take-up of the 20-for-9s, leaving a lot of shares available to the oversubscribers, with pretty heavy oversubscription. So Capital would have got none at all. Possibly, excluded shareholders (in America, Canada etc) have been buying in the open market as a substitute. "Mrs Mops". That could potentially explain who has been buying the shares. But it's all guesswork.

And the next exciting lol week starts.

btw one of my chums has just said to me that, in their view, Nadhim Zahawi MP is an "idiot" for making those comments about the past GKP management "comments which are not correct, misrepresent the role of the KRG, and indicate that as Chief Strategy Officer he understands nothing about the facts despite having been in the position for about 15 months". Whether or not he will survive it remains to be seen, I guess.

Paul, the RNS was given Thursday, Friday's RNS was a confirmation that it was complete, which of course is post event, ie after 8.00am. Can't believe you've spent your entire weekend and 4 bottles of gin over this.

It seems to have been a good day here. johnyboy has some more entries for his dodgy dossier. Wildrider is still incorrect with her belief that it was A D and D responsible for the bonds but when it suits Team Ego to clutch at straws they will. roverrite has finally grasped the reasons for the demise of GKP and biggerthus has put forward some interesting comments, proving he's catching on. All these have been regularly mentioned before by a few of us but hey we mustn't be too critical as everyone learns and understands at different speeds. But it would seem that they've now "got it".

The Reverend Ego doesn't appear to understand what a hypocrite is which is odd based on his alleged propensity to use google for his cut and pastes and fascinating explanations on just about everything. How lucky was the Post Office in having him move them forward to the success they are today?

I wonder if my idea of shutting down production around 18 months ago would have forced the MNR into paying which may have resulted in a much different story here. 1p and going lower? Great words from the new troughers so everything to play for eh?

1712, it does seem odd, even allowing for our IR's poor history with RNS's, that they would somehow by mistake issue something of this importance after the LSE trading bell. After all they've had the full 90 days since the 14th July to prepare that RNS.

1712, do you seriously believe that all trades from Fri are going to be rescinded, your hare-brained poison pill theory you kept shoving down the throats of everyone here and iii was amusing despite you probably cost some investors money, however, this conclusion that all Fridays trades are going to be rescinded is something quite special. When you're proved wrong tomorrow, will you stop posting for a 24 hour period just to give us all a bit of peace and quiet?
