sniff - "Its unlikely the KDP will agree to it, i hope,"

The whole thing is ridiculous, it'll be thrown out.

Why would ANYBODY agree to it. Here's what you posted up this morning:-

"According to the 10th paragraph of Article 14, the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government are obliged to stop oil extraction from the Kirkuk and Nineveh fields currently extracted by the Kurdistan Regional Government."

According to that, the proposal is that NEITHER the Federal Government nor the KRG be allowed to produce from those fields.

So who would benefit from fields that are producing 200kbpd being shut in with the loss of billions to the Iraqi economy.

And the Court of Arbitration has already fined Iraq hundreds of millions because of transit fees being lost by Turkey due to Iraq not fulfilling it's side of the pipeline agreement because they couldn't fill that 650kbpd capacity pipe, so imagine the fines to be levied if throughput is reduced by another 200kbpd to only 250kbpd.

The LAST people that want those fields shut in is the ICG, the Kurds budget share is 12.67% based on their share of the population and the ICG would still have to pay that but with 200kbpd less in return, so the other oil producing provinces down south would be subsidizing the Kurds and WHO is going to vote for that.

The draft budget was already agreed between the ICG and the KRG and we are told that even Nouri al-Malaki's party want it implemented as already agreed, so why would everyone agree to chucking it all out the window to satisfy a handful of people on the finance committee whose only motive is to derail the whole process.

"Haydar Lami, a leader from the State of the Law Coalition led by the former Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki also shared concerns regarding attempts to derail previously agreed-upon consensus.

In order for the country to maintain peace and security, the agreements should be implemented, the Shiite leader added."

Habsham said that the issue would not be mention again. He was wrong. They are still discussing it. Fingers crossed the KDP don't give in.... otherwise production shut in even if the pipeline opens

Doggie has been telling us all GKP is doomed for nearly a decade now. The same decade that saw production increase from zero to 55k bbl/day and the handing out of large dividends from the huge profits.

Yet he is still at it.

The definition of insanity Doggie is keeping the same behaviour but expecting a different result.
