They won't declare it until they convert the dollars just before they pay it. And if they've bought shares into treasury before payment they won't count for divi either so they need to know the certainties before the amount per share can be calculated.

Shafaq News/ The Iraqi President, Barham Salih met, on Tuesday, in New York, with his American counterpart Joe Biden, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.
The Iraqi presidency said in a statement that during the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to strengthen them in various fields within the strategic dialogue and in accordance with common interests.

Salih and Biden confirmed the necessity of supporting holding a fair electionns, and continuing to combat terrorism.

"Iraq looks forward to building close relations with the United States in the political, security, environmental, economic and cultural fields on the basis of common interests, and within the framework of the strategic agreement between the two countries," Salih said.

"Iraq follows a balanced policy that supports the diplomatic solutions to easing tensions, and the pivotal role in establishing security and peace in the region, as well as in confronting environmental challenges." The Iraqi President added

For his part, Biden praised Iraq's progress towards achieving stability and its efforts to ease regional tensions.

The US president affirmed the American support to Iraq's security and sovereignty. In addition to combating terrorism and strengthening its economy, and continuing joint work and coordination within the strategic dialogue in various fields."

Evergrande: Crisis-hit firm strikes China debt deal
The main property unit of Chinese real estate giant Evergrande has said it has struck a deal over a bond interest payment which is due on Thursday.
The amount due for the domestic bond is estimated to be $35.9m (£26.3m).

P2---True,no guarantee of 17p fall and GKP also have news to announce anytime Re Shaikan Production ramp up and possible buybacks,plus another bumper Shaikan payment on the cards in the next couple of weeks with the FDP announcement on top.

Good call to hold for the divi, Sbb1x. This share is too controlled to be sure it will react the way others do. There's no guarantee it will drop by 17p when it goes ex-divi. Bird in the hand etc.

Edit. And if the pound carries on its merry way it will be 17p+ - $1.363 now.

It looks like a repeat of yesterday with the Brent price. Traders selling just now in order to trade the rise later. Could see $76+ later on imo.

Dollar currently strong which is good for dividend, once that dirty blood stained dollars weakens oil is gonna fly fly fly!Decided to hold the shares to get tge dividend and all the dividend will be re invested to get more shares.I see this company doing a buyback at some point in next few months and next year them giving share holders 120m dollars back in dividends.Share price will be 3 to 4 pounds next year!

Oil Prices Jump As Crude, Fuel Inventories Continue To Fall

The American Petroleum Institute (API) on Tuesday reported a draw in crude oil inventories of 6.108 million barrels for the week ending September 17.

It exceeded the analyst expectations who had estimated a loss of 2.400 million barrels for the week.

In the previous week, the API reported a draw in oil inventories of 5.437 million barrels—a larger loss than the 3.903 million barrel draw that analysts had predicted.

Oil prices rose on Tuesday leading up to the data release, with U.S. crude oil inventories falling weekly, OPEC+ production that is not as strong as the market had anticipated, and depressed oil production in the United States as a result of the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.
