I think it is more than the oil price as there would be greater gains to be made trading that on other stocks. Tullow for example

Brent back through $66.

Currently $66.50.

5.9 million barrel draw in the US crude inventory (EIA).

Is the share price recovery over the last 3 days, mainly influenced by

Brent recovery
Iraq political improvements
Gkp payments (inc back payments)
Gkp showing the ability to deliver on their plans
Take over getting closer

I would like to think its the last 3 or 4 as this would be more sustainable

Unfortunately I've a feeling its the oil price that is doing it for us at the moment.

Should not complain I suppose.

GKP
They are certainly going to one hell of an effort to make us sell our shares.
How many hours has doggie spent composing rubbish over the past 12 years ?
Must be 10's of thousands - scary .

I wonder if Jon Harris is aware of goatcam? Positive comments like that should be crossed-checked with the oracle. (imo)

I agree P. The KRG are trying to get a track record of "on time" payments to entice them in. XOM are extremely risk averse after the Exxon Valdiz screw up.

You and "Mr Asher" are stuck in a time warp Doggie this is 2021 not 2012. All you do is regurgitate the past.

Who cares ?

Looking at those dates of purchases it looks like it is a short window.

I think you can forget CNPC, CNPC. It's starting to look to me like Exxon/Chevron once all the political and legal loose ends are tidied up. Hence the need for a profitable and growing business to attract a competitive edge. Whatever the outcome, if good dividends are being paid we can wait.

I wonder what piece of corporate action had been completed to allow Harris and Papineau-Legris to buy shares. Closed periods are advised by Nick Davis, Ferrier said so.

This doesnt quite align with the Doggies version of "reality " or "facts" either LOL

==========================================================================

Jon Harris, Gulf Keystone’s Chief Executive Officer, said:

We have had a strong start to 2021. The updated independent Competent Person’s Report reaffirmed the significant upside production potential of the field with gross 2P reserves + 2C contingent resources of c.800 MMstb. Average gross production from Shaikan in 2021 to 29 March is 43,190 bopd, up c.13% from the corresponding period in 2020.

GKP is looking in good form after last year’s slippage in the long term plan, 55/- b/d by 1Q 2022 is going to be ok with SH-13, SH-1 plus two ESP’s and a debottlenecking of PF-2 delivering. After that the Jurassic expansion and gas management should increase it to 75/- b/d and with the Triassic comes 85/- b/d with expansion there and the Cretaceous pilot 110/- b/d.

So there is no limit to expansion at GKP and within that there is scope to pay more dividends and ‘establish a track record’ of pay-outs in the long term. Let’s watch the situation and see how the new management team get on, so far no reason why it can’t work

Bigdog, why didn't you try and warn him like you have been doing to us all these years!?!? I'm sure he would have listened!

I wonder if SM held throughout the restructuring? Probably. Good to see some in house buys though.

Let's hope they do better than Simon Murray, eh? Unless, of course, he's coming back for the full banquet.
