From Genel
"and first oil at Sarta is also now imminent. Once production from these initial wells has stabilised we expect it to increase our production by over 10%, with potentially far more to come as we appraise what could be the largest field in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq~

Correct Habshan . Then we have this gem , obviously googled.

"Without knowing full details of where the explosion took place, a 3- to 5-day estimate could be quite close. If, however, it took place in or very close to a pumping- or valve station then that number goes out the window."

Its extremely unlikely any explosion would take place at a Pumping Station considering the very small number of them in a typical pipeline - if at all. Not all pipelines have Pumping Stations. Thats why we have Export Pumps.

Close to a Station would make no difference what so ever - its the normal pipeline . Taking out the Pumping station of course would , and its for this very reason they are closely monitored - remotely and carefully located to avoid such scenarios.

Then he obviously doesnt know that Pipeline valve systems are designed for easy replacement and can be flanged into the line . Critical valves are kept as spares to avoid long lead time delays. The valve can also be left out if the situation demands it . Then refitted during periods of lower demand or maintenance.

"BroadfordBay said 3 - 5 days; it actually took 4 days."

This is what you ACTUALLY said Broadford.

"Without knowing full details of where the explosion took place, a 3- to 5-day estimate could be quite close. If, however, it took place in or very close to a pumping- or valve station then that number goes out the window."

You then launched into a long winded tirade wittering on about procedures and how in your opinion the job should be done according to the textbook, and telling us that your 3-5 day estimate would then go out the window.

What you did Broadford was tell experienced veterans like myself and Highlander that you haven't a clue how things get done in places like the Middle East when the pressure is on, and especially when it's a strategic asset like an export pipeline and you've got an Arab ruler or someone like Recep Erdogan breathing down your neck.

It's not timelines that then go out the window Broadford, it's people like you and your "procedures".

People like myself and Highlander have a lifetime's experience of making things happen and getting things done in places like this Broadford, we KNOW how to mobilize resources, and when somebody like you comes on here pontificating from your armchair that the timeline will go out the window because they need to work to "procedures" you just lay yourself wide open and reveal how little experience of these things you really have.

Leave it to those who actually know how to get the job done Broadford.

Highlander and I both told you how long it would take, no ifs or buts , and we were right.

What a turnaround for oil today: Up 10% from the lows

Oil is bringing back the volatility

Oil has gone from the world's most-volatile asset to a sleepy market in the past 6 months but it's showing what it's capable of again today.

The dip to start the week came after the UK lockdown and Libya revealing that it's ramped up production faster than expected. However it began a sharp turn on a report that Russia has discussed the option of delaying the OPEC+ taper until Q2 with domestic producers.
Oil is bringing back the volatility

Oil is now back above the September lows and is testing the 200-day moving average.

This is certainly an impressive run but there are major hurdles that crude needs to overcome in the months ahead. Looking beyond that, I'm a big crude bull on a supply shortage. Here is why Joe Biden could be the most-bullish US President for oil in history.

I agree , the HCL is the key in some instances , whether it would bother the Chinese is another matter. I doubt it.

As for Trump. As always , the left wing USA media ( worse than the UK ) is predicting a Biden landslide but Farage reckons Trump will swing it. I hope he does.

I see Broadfraud is yet again demonstrating what a balanced individual he is. A tree on each shoulder.

Occasionally ( not often) I used to make a mistake and employ such fools on my Project Teams , usually they were out the door by the next day.

But for the record Braudfraud here is how it works. When we build Process Plants. We use Corporate systems ,International Design specs (API) and appropriate Client Procedures. When we get an emergency on site , or get called in to (say) a damaged pipeline costing us , or the client , money. We get the job done - now.

Now off you go, and for goodness sake stop embarrassing yourself.

Haha...

BroadfordBay said 3 - 5 days; it actually took 4 days.

Your mock highlander is a complete and utter charlatan - nothing more, nothing less; look how he latched on to the "6 hours to complete" story and spewed it out as though it was gospel. Look at his postings for confirmation.

And you, Habscam, are just an empty vessel.

A bunch of Google nobodies who take pleasure in spouting childish- and ill-informed nonsense.

A "seasoned industry professional like Highlander" - well, when something's pretty rotten it does need a lot of seasoning to hide the taste before you can swallow it.

Rotten to the core...
