And what did CPR1 and CPR2 come out with? Rather a very long way away from the big numbers wasn't it? Then of course we have to wonder why they're still using CPR2 5 years on. Could it be that those numbers can't be increased? However due to all the problems that you desperately ignore could it be that they will have to reduce them like Genel did twice?

Agree Thick Tony, Creeping Takeover, the accumulation of stock from the market pre bid. Explains the large undeclared awol 25% of stock.Yes, pretty obvious PROXY FIGHT TAKEOVER tactics, whilst executing CREEPING TAKEOVER in parallel , which is very effective when no holding sizes are required to be published, only voluntary ones, Bermuda registered.For myself I expect to we see a friendly deal, and/or a hostile bid pretty soon, hopefully a company share buyback first.

I think we would all agree that the development of Shaikan is in it's infancy.

Petroleum Reserves Definitions [1997]. Caps are mine:-

"Reserves derived under these definitions rely on the integrity, skill, and judgment of the evaluator and are affected by the GEOLOGICAL COMPLEXITY, STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT, degree of depletion of the reservoirs, and amount of available data."

"The area of the reservoir considered as proved includes THE AREA DELINEATED BY DRILLING and defined by fluid contacts."

"All reserve estimates involve some degree of uncertainty. The uncertainty depends chiefly on the amount of reliable geologic and engineering data available at the time of the estimate and the interpretation of these data."

"RESERVES ESTIMATES WILL GENERALLY BE REVISED as additional geologic or engineering data becomes available or as economic conditions change."

"Reserves may be classified as proved IF FACILITIES TO PROCESS AND TRANSPORT THOSE RESERVES TO MARKET ARE OPERATIONAL AT THE TIME OF THE ESTIMATE."

What facilities to process and transport those reserves to market were operational at the time of the ERCE estimate?

Two processing facilities with a capacity of 20kbpd each and a fleet of trucks.

Oil can only be classified as reserves if the infrastructure is in place to deal with it.

As the field is developed, more holes are drilled, the infrastructure put in place,
the reserves numbers will increase. That's what happens.

And Bigdog is totally and utterly clueless about any of it.
