Surrey LSE yep 30% plus in unknown ?Well unknown to Joe public ++++++Sothic and Lansdowne own 25% between them and have chosen to tell GKP this. They do not appear on the Computer Share register. They hold shares in nominees such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, NY Bank of Mellon etc. So of the 38% not in top ten, Hargreaves Lansdowne were at ~ 2.7% but fell out after being overtaken by Dimensional Fund Advisers holdings. Others such as Halifax / TDWaterhouse will have some.IMO these retail nominees hold about ~ 5/6% in total. So around a third of the shares currently in issue are in unknown holder(s) possession.
