I'd say two things, nest:

First is to avoid confusing the amount of oil with GKP. GKP is simply a vehicle, a corporate entity, whose asset is a contract. The oil volume can't be changed but the contract can be messed with.

Second, FWIW, I suspect quite a few (not necessarily you) look at their shareholding like a bet on the 3:30 at Newmarket. You've staked ten quid and will await the outcome. A share punt is the sum of many individual pounds that can be reduced or increased depending on how your horse is running during the race. I first reduced Spring 2012, for several reasons, including Gokana. The art of the possible, not the pipedream. I should have reduced a lot more.

As I recall Lard they didn't sell a lot so I considered them still in , I admit it I am slow to learn this game .My perspective is Shaikan is massive Peak Oil has gone how can this fail to give a good return ? I now see that LAwyers ,Hedge funds , bent officals and Company employees and associates , terrorism incl the Saudi's can derail just about anything even a sea of oil.

Agree, it is incremental. So what was your reaction, nesto, when the Gokana sale was finally announced, very late. How did you reassess the risk to your invested capital on hearing and digesting that news? Did you adjust your holding in any way?

It's all by increments Lard , the fall from 150 to 113p was the tough one , then the gentle gradient down to here all the time thinking not worth selling now and it will go up .Nightmare never again , ME is a basket case as far as my cash goes from now.

The last one I had many moons ago only did 12 to the gallon..... Not even all that rapid either...... even my other half's Macan Diesel would utterly destroy it in a heartbeat. Archaic gas-guzzling rust-bucket garbage IMO. No offence like.

nestoframpers: thanks. Yes, Ginger is a one-off. Chris Welch ("The Raver") always wrote good pieces about him, during his pomp. I recall him describing his Jensen FF with the wheels on the pavement at a rakish angle...I had to get one! The passenger seat was narrower than the driver's seat because of the extra propshaft.

3. After the GKP ramp: Now there`s: No `pipeline` or `pipelines`- No `400kbopd, nor even 100kbopd...No BIR...No AB sale...Infact no SA or BB or even an AB as they were handed back at vast cost....come to think of it.......No 3% in the CPR no its .4% (I believe and 2 CPRs later its still .4% all despite 4000+ posts from Chief Troll on LSE and ADVFN begging to be believed) Yes well...Shall I go on?
