....the deal is a non-event imo.

each to their own opinion.

(mkt agrees with me ;-)
as shown by the share price since the news)

Hummel.
....how many of their clothes products do you own ?
me, none.

well known clothes brands
Zara
Mango
Next
Adidas
Nike
Fred Perry
Superdry
Benetton
Helly Hansen
Puma
& many many more

Hummel ?
never heard of them.

...a sweatshirt for grand prix esport event...
will internet viewers really want to buy a sweatshirt ?
...I see little kudos in wearing one since few other people might know what it signifies/means.

whereas wearing marks such as Superdry, Bennetton, Helly Hansen, Puma provides an amount of kudos to the wearing (although personally I think it is a bit stupid, (a logo or brand name does not ensure the wearer is a 'good' person) but the general public buys/does it)

Smithie6 - according to the RNS the spomnsorhsip is worth upto £700k. the whole deal is approximately £1m over 3 years, which means merch sales of £300k over the period. Not exactly hyping it ...

7rademark, You still worshiping DB lol, great footballers don’t make good business men, even his missus fashion business loses millions, still they use other people’s money or dopey shareholders The charts don’t lie, the lower thecsp, just means in this environment of higher rates for longer, it’s incredibly difficult to secure funding.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see another failure this year, there have been many already and a lot more to come imo

This one has already lost 90% of its float price, some dozy shareholders, totally deluded still holding and hoping and praying for a way out of the black hole,

I am not a gamer

But personally I doubt that there is any serious money (or any at all) to be made by trying to sell T shirts etc with Guild or esport events written on them to gamers.

Up to £700k revenue.
Well, 500 quid fits in that definition.

Smithie6 said this share was a load of rubbish at 1.2p & said that best to avoid.

Now 0.85p, so, so far Smithie was right.

And still over valued imo.

No position.

Subway remark is just a throwaway comment. you dont expect Subway twitter account staff to procounce on corporate sponsorship deals. It is way above their pay grade. That account is for twitter chatter about game play and user engagement, nothing else.

Get real and use your loaf.

Seriously though, when are you going to announce that Subway have renewed their sponsorship? Cos the old 2 year deal ran out last month.

It's not game over, but it's difficult to call. They have just lost 1.5m from the bitstamp sponsorship, but gained 700k from hummel, the cost cutting is clearly working but Beckham is a ball and chain. Merchandise begins at last but hardly a comprehensive range and hummel is not at all trendy, strange decision that one for me. The sector has slowed but so has everything. If they can raise the cash they clearly need it will be at a discount to today's share price but may prove to be the turnaround.

why would Hummel sign a three year contract, if it was game over?

Still looks precarious to me. If they decide to raise more money and they need to in reality what price will they get a funding away for.

What's the name of that gaming stock that was around 1p and ended up doing a placing at 0.15p forgot the name ?

It's a dangerous market when low on cash and still burning even if smaller amounts

Guilds net cash position amounted to GBP1.28m as at 24 April 2023, worth noting in their Annual Report they stated it was GBP1.6m on the 25 Jan 2023. So around 100k per month cash burn based on that. It appears to me they are receiving revenue and you could assume at that rate of cash burn they would be down to 1.2m negative for the year, rather than 8m like last time. All subjective, as they could well make investments in the company, but that is a good sign to me. Shame Bitstamp left with a year to go, but sponsors will always come and go, but great news with Hummel, they clearly believe they can use their network to promote as well and that Guilds future is intact with that money. That cash burn is the bigger positive for me though. GL
