no chance - the despair has plenty of legs yet - especially after a weekend of contemplating all this doom and gloom

Judging by the despair with the valuation I’d say we are at the bottom of the current downturn, would expect a dramatic bounce imminently. Saying that on the basis that sellers have held sway for over a week, and eventually it exhausts itself.

I'd say most posts are positive for the medium term on here, anger at the CEO is not the same thing as losing faith in the company. How such positive sentiment ( Walmsley excepted)and minimal short activity has led to such a price meltdown is a mystery. Predicting the bottom is impossible but I"d bet on a rapid rebound when it does.

The share price is collapsing fast while everyday we have rns of directors vesting and selling their bonus shares. How can they deserve to have bonus while their performance are so abysmal? Shouldn't the bonus linked on the company performance?

Only at 0.56 percent short covered it's hardly heavily shorted

I would not be surprised if the PE boys are pouring over their slide rules this weekend and burning the midnight oil.
Normalised PE ratio currently 11.5 - for a pharma!! Astonishing.
There is money to be made here.
The other thought I had is this is right up Buffet’s street. I appreciate that it is such a cliche to trot out the “Buffet’ line when a share price is falling, but there is a lot about GSK that fits with his investment ethos. Just a thought ...

From over 18 quid to 12 (and who knows, lower still perhaps!) in the space of a year, is the stuff of penny stocks.
I think most holders are also not impressed with the levels of remuneration that the senior management team are getting, for what can only be described as deeply unsatisfactory commercial performance.
Anyway, lets see what next week brings. Of all my holdings, this was meant to be one of the dull ones.... :)

Lots of posters feeling the squeeze and a bit cheesed off with the huge share price fall lately. Look at the monthly chart for gsk and there is huge support at this level. After that we could be looking at 1000 area. Either way i think the monthly chart removes alot of the noise and certainly helps me take a more balanced and longer term investment decision. The current flow of negative frustration and dismay will in my opinion change in time and sentiment will change to the upside.

Correct Stewart.
CEO needs to walk, and not get her payoff because she has failed.
Abject failure should not be rewarded.
She has had plenty of time now.

And that's the point now, Essential, credibility and trust have gone.

We really need a new CEO and a new Chairman. The 'leadership' is the big issue at the moment.

GSK might come up with some corker drugs, and they might get the vaccine right with Sanofi, but the leadership has been found wanting.

65 pence looks highly optimistic!!.

Who am I to argue with very highly paid pharma sector analysts and
their modelling tbf.

Why would you split the company.
Each part would be worth small change to a competitor - another great British company gets swallowed up.
Only wondering - have started following this as it appears oversold charts wise.
Don't hold any stock... thankfully!
