Unfortunately I don't think it'll be put to bed for a while yet. The US is such a litigious place and as long as lawyers can juice more fees out of it then it may hang over GSK for years

What's irritating is that the whole Zantac saga has been a drag on the stock for over 2 years now. Hopefully a successful appeal against the Delaware court decision back in June will be a pivotal moment in the resolution of it.

Nothing wrong with the management. It's Zantac holding back the stock. Outside of Zantac the company is doing well and is significantly undervalued

If you read about the Supreme Court decision to grant the appeal it seems that such appeals are only granted when there is a serious doubt over the original decision. So success seems more likely than not but when will it be heard? This year, next year?

I don't believe the CEO can be held responsible for the Zantac 'overhang' which is the main factor keeping the price as low as it is. To a large extent the market is already pricing in defeat. In time this will be resolved one way or the other.
