18/6/2020 15:16 | Just having a quick look in. Now 9 percent down, oh dear and the troll said it would go up on the results. And he was trying to pass on information on GGP regarding tax. :-(The Trump administration is making a last-ditch effort to stop the publication of a damaging new book by a former national security adviser.Constitution | zooman
18/6/2020 13:36 | Thanks for the feedback. I have taken zone II out my valuation (bonus if it happens). Never easy doing business in China. On fundamentals looks a bargain at £78m mkt cap, no debt and cash generative, subject to zinc prices not collapsing again. Lot of stock around, which when I like to buy and hold. Need to do more research | smithless
18/6/2020 13:33 | Bolton going on TV this weekend, has been saying that Putin can play Trump like a fiddle. :-))Yes, yes,yes I know your response, all lies! But you don't know the truth or what's are lies just what what you believe. Be interesting as to what he has to say. | zooman
18/6/2020 13:23 | Smithless, ask yourself a question why have the Chinese not issued the licence? I know there is no answer that has been provided by the Chinese. They've had Griffin jump through hoop after hoop. Constantly requesting environmental reports then asking again for more information. GFM have been asked for guarantees and still they have not issued the licence. Those of us that talk to Roger have been told that there has been a fear of corruption within China which has been blamed on the delay. When you talk to Roger you can hear the frustration in his voice. They are as pee'd of with this as everyone else is. I sold out bar one share (which was due to a typo error) and used it elsewhere as have many others.Zoo | zooman
18/6/2020 12:45 | A lot of us have had shares for years here and have made very good profits ,I don’t know when or if zone two will ever come on stream ,personally I wouldn’t touch them at the moment ,there updating is extremely poor ,and the bod are ageing ,I would be very happy to see the company sold off ,I wish I could be more upbeat on this for you ,but I’m afraid I can’t ,I did buy a minimum amount last week so that I felt I could post here ,good luck to you ,I used to hold 200000 but sold them down to nothing in chunks , | alangriffbang
18/6/2020 12:43 | The market for a book that is supportive of Trump is limited. The appetite for lies about him is not. Bolton was a warmonger that did not get along with Trump because Trump is intent on getting US forces out of conflicts, and making the rest of the world pay for its own defences. | rose_by_another_name
18/6/2020 12:39 | The Chinese have been dragging their feet on the zone II licence, but have issued several commitments promising that it will be granted. It is certainly overdue, as it was supposed to be a part of the deal whereby Griffin bought out a Chinese junior partner in the mine in 2012. Griffin has already made improvements and expansions to the ore processing plant to accommodate the increase in ore (like double) in anticipation of mining zone II, so A- They believe it will come, and B- they are ready. The life of the current mining area licence expires in October 2037. | rose_by_another_name
18/6/2020 12:39 | Alan just a quick look in, oh dear 6.2 percent down and tomorrow is Friday so could slip further. I see low numbers again.$2m doesn't always buy lies it can also release the truth. As I've said before Trump's leadership style creates a situation where there is very little or no loyalty to him. Hence as people start to speak out the more thats said the more will come out. Arrogant leaders / managers in the end fall, its not a question of if but when. Question what does Trump and the two window lickers have in common?https://www.g | zooman
18/6/2020 12:21 | Went through these result yesterday as a possible recovery story. A few question to those who have been with Griffin for a while. Obviously Zone II hasn't been granted a licence and may never. How crucial is this licence? I assume it has licencees for other parts of the Caijiaying Mine? If so for how long? | smithless
18/6/2020 11:32 | Two million dollars will buy a lot of lies. | rose_by_another_name

18/6/2020 10:27 | Again, for alan, who claims not to be able to see my posts, a post of mine that zooperson loves so much that he reposts it repeatedly: "What you lot haven't figured out is that I am a stand alone individual. I don't need a bunch of allies to support me. I don't want them and I don't seek them. This is the net, nothing to do with real life. I don't care that there are detractors that dislike me to whatever extent. I certainly don't care that they come together in a cabal and support each other in their attacks. Why would anyone think that had any effect in this place?" | rose_by_another_name

18/6/2020 09:50 | You assumed he didn't mean what he posted, making up the "cynicism" excuse. I issued a factual correction; anyone who didn't recognise your assumed "cynicism" in his post might have been misled. No harm was done by putting the facts straight. The original poster has not followed up. Why are you so upset? Thought you had a way to attack me and it fell apart on you? Pretty lame attempt. Maybe you should just let things go, especially when it has nothing to do with you. You actually managed to annoy the moderator of that forum and get told off, just because alan got involved. You know he is a bewildered old man and can't be saved. | rose_by_another_name
18/6/2020 09:43 | "No smoke without fire" is what people say when there is no actual evidence supporting a rumour. John Bolton is just cashing in on Trump derangement syndrome. | rose_by_another_name
18/6/2020 09:40 | There was nothing that needed correcting because he provided no facts on what he meant you assumed. | zooman
18/6/2020 09:40 | I certainly never said that government debt will be "written off". I said that historically it is inflated away. When a country is over indebted, their currency inflates and the debt denominated in that currency is eventually repaid with inflated dollars, pounds, lira, or whatever. The Euro currency prevents Greece, Italy, and so on from getting out from under their debt in this way, which is part of their current economic problems. | rose_by_another_name |
