All the good software cos in the UK are getting taken out, leaving fewer investment opportunities.

Maybe a profit warning coming and outlook not as good as hoped. Great buy though since large cash generation without the overheads.

Very fortunately I bought some more yesterday, currently hold at an average of 1.34. Not to unhappy but it is a low offer.

Well as it seems to have turned out, I'm sure a private transaction would have placed some value on the contractor revenues that they were keen to ditch...

I suppose the management team want this and difficult to stand in their way.

One hope is that this smokes out another bidder. I'm sure all the irrevocables fall away if that happens.

Directors should hang their heads in shame as should Kestrel. Other irrevocables from holders that have been selling in the market!

The results due out next week should shed more light as to the value of the company.

They only had to wait one more year, pe drops to 10 on 2025 forecasts, 3 times that you get share price over 250p.

In the meantime if they had bought back shares using the £4.8m and growing cash... they didnt even try to raise the share price.

Very poor indeed.

I had to view the RNS via another source. Anyone else unable to view RNS as it happens via ADVFN? (It will show up later on but that's not particularly helpful) As far as the deal goes .... it's pretty awful!

It seems cheap but now we are hearing about slowing growth and stiff competition so perhaps its just good to get out and make a bit of profit.
Funny isn't it how the board can now argue that 1.63p is a fair price now.

Sold cheaply bit of a kick in the teeth for those shareholders holding for over 20 years and broker target being 220p.

Well there we go. Gresham was a sitting duck. It's not much of a premium but I suppose it will have to do.

Aside from a decent strategic win in cash management , a few board changes and a brand new deep value US shareholder in the form of Briarwood Chase , 2024 has started at a fairly glacial pace for the Gresham shareprice .

That may be about to change with the moving averages converging and 2023 results due on 16th April . Here is what the company concluded in its trading update on 11th January -

" The business starts the year with over GBP38 million of Group revenues already under contract and a strong pipeline of opportunities. The Board is confident in the Company's ability to deliver planned growth which, supported by cost reduction initiatives during FY24, will further accelerate the business towards its objective of best-in-class EBITDA margins and cash generation in FY25, and beyond "

Having suffered badly in November on the company's decision to exit the £8.5m pa of legacy Australian I/T revenue at 13% margins , the shareprice needs a big shot in the arm , so , now that Gresham is a pure play SaaS provider , one would expect the company to be pretty eager to get on the front foot again . Both North America and Europe had a strong close to 2023 , and hopefully this momentum has continued together with a growing pipeline of new business .

A big strategic win for Gresham.

A further phase of the US project is expected to enable the straight through processing of payments to multiple bank partners, for which incremental subscription fees are expected. This Key Customer operates in over 50 countries around the world providing further opportunity to expand a proven and successful partnership.

Ian Manocha, CEO commented:

"We are delighted to be building a global relationship with this respected leader in the cash management industry. We will work together to automate cash and payments processing controls with the objective of improving the management of operational and financial risks and lowering operating costs."

Looks like the recovery has started.
Easily worth 1.80 even in current markets.
Could be a takeover target ?

Oh yes forget, even more inexplicable then. I have been invested on and off for 20 years or so although lost a bit of interest until recently but now see this as a bargain after the share price took such an unjustified hammering for no apparent reason other than poor sentiment and high interest rates which will reverse at some point.

GHT is not on AIM. This has been said before. It has a main market listing.

It is however a small cap stock and like many others, seems to be currently out of favour.

This is one of a number of shares on AIM which has been ignored by the market recently.
Some real bargains about.
