Posted at 09/4/2024 14:03 by weatherman Private equity seems to be hoovering up good quoted companies on the cheap, because for long periods the market undervalues those same small companies - thus making it harder for small investors to succeed. What is left is of lower quality. Value is becoming ever more concentrated in the hands of the already wealthy. |
Posted at 21/12/2023 09:16 by chasbas GHT announced exit of legacy business and trading update on 17th November which included: "The Company continues to have a solid pipeline of opportunities fromboth new and existing customers and expects to close additional Clareti subscription business before the end of the year which will contribute to the Group's Annualised Recurring Revenue ("ARR") and FY24 planned revenues." Since they announced a trading update on 10th Jan 2023 I hope they will announce another one in Jan 2024. Let's hope they are also near to landing a first win for the Floe banking solution. IMO this is important for investor sentiment. GHT was IPO'd at 165p or was it 175p? At 115p I agree they are a sitting duck so we really need strong trading updates in 2024 including Floe. I'm keeping the faith. The CEO and CFO bought a small number of shares on 23rd Nov. Only token buying IMO. GLA and happy new year |

Posted at 19/10/2023 13:33 by gnnmartin I sent an email asking for a link to enable me to join today's online presentation. Nothing received. Not a good impression!Edit, ah, I did not read the announcement carefully enough! The online presentation is only open to "institutional investors and analysts". I misread that as "investors and analysts". So I take back my criticism, and look forward to watching the recording. |
Posted at 24/5/2023 07:45 by nchanning There's a deep depression amongst UK small cap investors at the moment . Even when one of your companies reports excellent results it usually drifts down over the ensuing months before the next update , as there always seems to be a fund trying to exit to cover redemptions . It's creating some very fertile ground for the next bull market but it's painful to suffer through |
Posted at 22/6/2021 16:38 by gottafly I have long since given up trying to understand the market but I would suggest that big change is on the way with GHT and that unsettles some (who will sell out) whilst present opportunities for others (see the RNS re Amati Global investors today). As I stated in my last post, really looking forwards to the July half year and report. Certainly, NISinger (who in my view are not reknown for their positivity as regards GHT, certainly historically) seem (for them) very bullish. I for one think GHT is in great shape but clearly the sellers do not agree, still what a boring world if we all thought the same! |
Posted at 21/6/2021 15:34 by gottafly Well the share price has eased off slightly but now surprise given the share issue. The general meeting was a non event with overwhelming support and disappointingly no further detail or explaination - it was very short, 4 minutes or so.Anyway the RNS following the meeting seems to have a clear upbeat message from IM. "We are delighted to confirm the acquisition of Electra Information Systems and to have received such strong support from existing shareholders, new institutions, retail investors, and from our Board and management. This transformative initiative gives us scale in the important North American market and puts the enlarged Group in a leadership position in buy-side capital markets. Over the coming months, we will be globalising our operations to deliver on the benefits of this transaction for our customers and shareholders, as we execute our ambitious plan to build out a leading global financial technology business. We look forward to providing an update at the interim results in July 2021." Note the ambitious plan, roll on the July update. |

Posted at 21/4/2021 21:07 by jadeticl3 QANTAS, why don’t you tell GHT that this information would be better placed as news for shareholders so that all investors know this, not just your friends on this site? |
Posted at 10/3/2021 12:38 by gottafly Well a pleasing share price movement today but on relatively low volume, driven presuambly on private investor demand.I attended the private investor 'digital' presentation yeasterday and for those who are interested a recording can be obtained from (you have to sign up for free access) Investor Meet Company, well worth it in my view. It is an hour long and includes a Q&A section. The supporting Powerpoint presentation - available from the Investor section of the GHT website - is, as you would expect, used as the basis for the presentation. Overall it was very polished and again there seemed to be a high degree of confidence and that GHT is well placed for significant growth after the challenges of 2020. One area I was particularly intrigued with, in the 2021 Plan section, was the two statements on M&A. Seems there will be no further bolt-on acquisitions (it was stated that the three already completed were good value, all performing well and provided connectivity and support for the subcription model). However, the second M&A statement is the intriging part, "Consider transformative M&A to significantly accelerate product, distribution and account penetration ambitions in current verticals and geographies". A specific Q&A question was raised on this and IM didn't really add much in his reply, stating that GHT have and will study the market for a step change opportunity but these do not come along very often. So the question I have is why was this statement made if there is nothing specific in mind, just to make such a statement is very intriguing. |
