10/6/2014 11:42 | A previous post from readthismessagen0w before he went into De-Ramp mode - 09 Sep 2013 - 10:01:42 - 3355 of 5033 He said.. reminder of some facts! 1. RG spoke for an hour about the business and future prospects. Seemed fluent and confident. 2. Explained how effective the lifabric drilling technique is. Extraction rates are around 80% compared with max 60% for other techniques. Also flow rates are more stable. Life of each well is at least 15 years, so the returns per well are exponential and increase over time 3. Aiming to reduce exposure to GDG contracts to below 30% 4. Petrochina are re-evaluating their recent drilling activity, which gives possible opportunity for GDL 5. India. No imminent contract news. RG explained how it is necessary to build a team locally, have extensive discussions with clients, and then secure contracts. They are not yet 'contract ready' but are very close. Time from contract to first rig deployment is typically 60 days. Would aim to start India with a 5 rig deployment, probably of existing rigs 6. Current focus is China, then India, then Indonesia 7. Possibility of UK drilling, especially as GDL use no chemicals in drilling and have a zero bio footprint and no pollutants. 8. Have options over 125 rigs. Size varies from 75 tons to 125 tons. Cost from $5m to $12m. Rigs drill both gas and oil. Indian CBM is shallower so the smaller rigs could go there 9. Costs of relocating the rigs is borne by client - 'we don't do anything unless we are paid' 10. Generally, aim is to secure a few test drills with a client, and then pursue a wider drilling programme with lifabric. GDL are looking for entire drilling programmes, and develop close participation with clients, rather than individual drill-by-drill contracts 11. RG not overly concerned about IP and patents because it requires skill and knowledge to apply the technology in the field. He believes there will be competition but it will take years to catch up with GDL, and the market is vast so he is relaxed about sharing it. USA currently has 70,000 wells drilled, compared with China's 5,000 12. The Anze contract will be done with GDL drills. Vertical wells produce $0.8m to $1.5m each. Selling opportunity is that lifabric is clean drilling, and GDL have 25 yr experience 13. SGX listing some time in 2013 (probably). No date fixed. They want to demonstrate less dependence on GDG contracts before listing. 14. No dilution proposed 15. RG frustrated by share price, but believes the market will respond when the figures show progress 16. 150 rigs is 'a big fleet' and RG thinks it could take 2-5 yrs to get to that size 17. All clients are happy with the drills. H1 has been a lot of evaluation and looking at test results. Expects more drilling in H2 | johnwise

09/6/2014 07:52 | John Some details in GDG results.9 lib wells mentioned drilled and suspension of 150 wells, do those relate to GDL? | superg1
08/6/2014 08:49 | Probably another large new drilling contract accompanying the results ? Results for the year ended 31 December 2013 on Wednesday 11 June 2014. The Company will be hosting a conference call for analysts/investors on that day at 10am UK time. | johnwise
08/6/2014 08:31 | Nice to see a rise here for you guys in recent days, but watch out for Mr market on results day. The results as you should know by know will show revenues halved (going on metres drilled) and probably less than 2011. I did wonder re cash myself and don't trust the Chinese. Hopefully GDL have something brewing to perk it up for you. There is still that matter of previous rns figures not matching up on meters drilled (14% difference) | superg1 |
