Greencore Group, the FTSE 250 leading manufacturer of convenience food in the UK, posted FY results for the period ended 27 September 2024, reporting a stronger than expected performance and a positive outlook as the Group enters FY25. Group revenue was actually down 5.6% to £1807.1m, but like for like revenue growth was up 3.4% yoy. Meanwhile the continued delivery of "Horizon 2" has resulted in an accelerated profit recovery. Adjusted Operating Profit was £97.5m in FY24, up 27.8%, with +140bps of margin improvement to 5.4% while PBT...from WealthOracle

I'm guessing that adjusted operated profit will be slightly above the company's projected 95m-97m range. The year end dividend will be 2.2p (ie 50m to be returned to shareholders less the 40m already done via buybacks).
SP will go back over 200p.

Two more declared shorts have joined the party, we now have 3 totaling 1.64%.
Year end results are announced next Tuesday, if the year end dividend is big I think the shorts will struggle. |

We now have one declared short (ie over the 0.5% reporting threshold), at 0.50% on Friday. This probably explains the share price weakness in the last week or so. |
