Good results. Adjusted EPS and dividend slightly ahead of consensus. Cashflows strong, too. Should be looking at around 14.9p and 4.95p for the current year. SHares ought to work their way above £1 in weeks ahead.

Quiet here? I've been monitoring for a while and fancied buying around 80p but didn't have the cash until now. I'm slightly disappointed I missed it but I still think there very good value if forecasts are anything like, and I'm looking forward to taking the healthy rising dividend.

Deal Positive For Greencore

ACQUISITION OF INTERNATIONAL CUISINE LIMITED (ICL) IS POSITIVE FOR GREENCORE GROUP

Chilled food manufacturer Greencore's acquisition of International Cuisine Limited (ICL) is positive for the group and for the wider convenience food market, according to City analysts.

ICL is an own-label chilled ready meals business based in Consett, County Durham with a turnover of £45M. Most of its sales are to existing Greencore customers, said Greencore.

Clive Black, analyst at Shore Capital, told FoodManufacture.co.uk: "ICL fits in pretty well with Greencore's existing business. The deal gives it increased capacity in prepared foods at an affordable price.

"Its existing prepared foods facilities were pretty fully utilised, so the extra capacity will be useful. It hasn't revealed the price it paid but Greencore's management are pretty and canny and we don't sense they will have over paid."

Shore Capital reiterated its BUY recommendation for Greencore Group and Numis upgraded the convenience food maker from Hold to ADD, increasing its target price to 90p.

A wee bit dissappointed that the price has retrenched today ( given its inclusion in the FTSE Small Cap Listing.

I really can't believe how well this share has been performing. I knew it was undervalued but when I brought back in December I didn't expect it to raise this far this fast. Could it breach £ 1? If so, I may bank some profits and I'm sure others are thinking the same??

Slinky, I think there's only 3 people invested in Gnc...

Personally, I'm letting it play out and expect 85p + in the next week or so...
