Video out.

Great Southern Copper PLC (LSE:GSCU) CEO Sam Garrett discusses with Proactive high-grade copper assay results from rock chip samples taken from the company's new Abundante prospect located within the Especularita project. Results from 33 rock chip and channel chip samples have given assay results up to 3.39% copper. A detailed drone magnetics survey is now underway to help define drill targets.

Sam says:

"The geology of the prospect displays characteristic evidence of being a tourmaline breccia pipe, many of which are known to host high-grade copper deposits. Furthermore, tourmaline breccia pipes are often known to occur in clusters. Therefore, the Company will fast track its exploration efforts at Abundante, including a detailed in-fill drone magnetics survey now in progress, to advance this prospect for scout drilling.

"We are rapidly achieving our goal at Especularita of generating a pipeline of high-grade copper prospects - Teresita, Victoria, Aurelia and now Abundante - that will become targets for reconnaissance drilling programmes. It is exciting to see that the four prospects identified to date all represent different styles of mineralisation, further highlighting the significant potential of the Especularita Project."

Results for 160 rock chip samples received with assay grades up to 5.97% Cu and 13.7g/t Au.

Excellent.

55% of the equity will be held by one entity. So its interesting to see Gervaise taking a stake. Lets hope it can emulate another companies initial rise.

That convertible loan facility is impressive. No interest, conversion at 1.2p, with further warrants at 2.4p

Also the placing at 1.2p also bears warrants at 2.4p.

So they raised £1m at a price higher than todays SP, and if they have no success the convertible loan note holders can only lose money, but they may hit big which will allow warrants to be exercised raising another million pounds.

They need to get drilling asap!

Since the company is finally beginning it's exploration program after placing shares to fund it, and considering the stature of the placee's taking stakes, I've populated the header with a summary of recent news with links.
Very early stage but Sam is a top geologist and knows his stuff.

Does emailing the CEO asking for upcoming newsflow count as research?

Not me, yet. I'd like to see an explorer place before buying. Count isn't daft though, I'm sure he's done his research

Thanks for that, I'm going back over all the recent interviews with the EST CEO, I thin things will start to pick up with EST soon as they are due to commence drilling again this summer.

Yeah I've got that one on watch, really like it .. they could have something significant. This isn't a deramp, just how I like to be with explorers, but was hoping they would place so they were well funded for the next drill cycles etc before I jump in. Same here, only got involved after they raised a few quid.

Indeed, another small cap copper explorer worth keeping an eye on is EST. Way more advanced project and a relatively high grade project, market cap is 5.38m GBP.
