lol, so they move the bid up on no buys or sells today so far. Does that tell everyone else what it is telling me that they need some shares back? Not having mine till at least 8p.

scott , i can see your pov,but as an example take fdl share price driven all the way down to 5.8p and yet two months later recovered to 16p and climbing. once again an over reaction by the markets.

Thanks for your constructive and helpful comments, empirestate. I wish you well and still keep hoping that in the end things will turn in our favour. Moreover I do think Mr. Grant has the experience and confidence of the Board to make a very benficial difference so I shall continue to remain in play for the foreseeable future with the remainder of my holding.

Nowt like those so blind.

All the rampers here have no intentions of holding, any spike and they
will all dump and move on.

Albert, i am continuing to put my money where my mouth is and have been buying today and yesterday. the market always over reacts when there is uncertainty and also has a habit of flushing sellers out when the share price gets hammered. my holding before the last few days is quite significant at an average price 3 times higher than todays, but i took the opportunity to buy at 3.6 yesterday and 2.87 today. i don't think i am fooling myself just yet as we are not in a situation where the company has the same liquidity problem they had earlier in the year. the situation if anything has improved considerably as they now have funding lines in place albeit at a considerable cost. sale of the aviation business is the right move on the grounds that this is the sector that is suffering greatest on revenue streams. the sale will provide a decent cash cushion and i think that the new appointments in the board room have shown that they are there to take effective corrective action. this stock has lost 70% of its value in a few days. imo this is way oversold as the company are not facing liquidity pressures like they were, they are selling an under performing asset and are focusing on their revenue growth areas.

All I can say, pirion, is that if this stock is being manipulated, as you infer, by so called "shorters" then it is a very sad state of affairs indeed. A promising business in this kind of situation surely needs constructive support from its members who should not be expected, or intimidated, to abandon it lightly. Frankly Mrs. Merkel is right. There should be an end to so called "Derivatives", Contracts for Difference, Spread Betting, Hedging, Structural Products and whatever else you may like to call them. People should legitimately only be permitted to deal in definite and identifiable (and certainly not "borrowed") securities for which they have put down ACTUAL CASH; in fact just like it used to be in the old days. As things now stand my sympathies increasingly lie with the operators of real, and as in the present case, apparently haplessly troubled and beleagured genuine businesses who on top of their very real commercial concerns, especially for the well being of their personnel, are in addition continually being obliged to monitor and conjecture what may REALLY be happening to their share price in an ever increasingly erratic, and seemingly uncontrollable, Market. May be it is not surprising that so many eventually "throw in the towel". One way or another you can be sure that at the end of the day it is the genuine PIs who have actually staked real money for real securities that ultimately, and so often, are left to shoulder the bill for these confusing activities in even more REAL MONEY.

IMO there is urgent and clear need for an overall review of the AIM Market and in particular all these various activities. But then I would not be surprised if the Board of GTE is as perplexed as I am at the current market mayhem. However I may simply be too old, out of date, too naive, and too "green" to appreciate what it is really going on. Even so the overall financial loss, and the consequent loss of confidence still hurts mightily ! But that is of course my own responsibility since the option has always been available to get out completely at any time along "the downward path".

Please GTE get to grips and let us have a statement of your views as previously requested hopefully as soon as may urgently be practicable.

This is not getting shorted, there is obviously a institution bailing after
the bad news, people dont short small caps with illiquidity issues and wide
spreads.

This stock has been heavily shorted during the past few days. that has driven the price beyond where sellers alone would have taken it. There should be a small improvement in the days to come, but any real value I cannot see even in the long run.

Who are all these buyers pouring in at this late stage without appearing to move the share price upwards ? Could it be that the Directors and their associates are at last intervening personally to avoid ultimate collapse of the share price so as to give Mr.Grant, in his newly acquired executive role, at least a sporting chance of turning this unfortunate and worrying situation around ? If this be the case I for one am still willing to hang on a while longer and to support and cheer them on. If only they would for once square with their PIs and tell us more precisely how they read the current position along with some more informative indication as to how they believe it has arisen, and explaining in straightforward terms how they are endeavouring to rectify it. Some positive explanation along these lines would I feel go some considerable way towards restoring investors' confidence and regaining their support. No one likes losing money and the recent and current level of losses must be assailing the Company and its personnel at all levels just as badly as it is hitting investors. Notwithstanding past difficulties I do believe that a significant measure of goodwill could readily be restored were the Board to issue a direct statement of explanation and encouragement to shareholders along the lines suggested.

the aviation business has revenues of say usd 8 million p.a., but the deal imo would be priced more towards the street value of the patent for the technology. considering there has been sizeable r&d costs associated with this i would hope to see a pleasant suprise price which would eleviate the pressure on liquidity.it could only be a guessing game at what price but USD10-12M would do nicely, which would be almost double the current mcap. it should be remembered here that the majority shareholders inclusive of loan note potential conversions (10p convertable)i would imagine be monitoring the situation closely in their best interest. i wouldn't see it being a firesale considering they have cash and facility to draw on to survive for atleast another 9 months or so.
