#NickGrant2 really good share thank you! I’m not too fazed about his response because it’s probably tied to the 0.7 dividend cover which IMHO will improve to 1.0 this autumn. 🤔

If you can defeat the incompetent robo-challenge :-(

Thought AO was slightly vague and evasive on some things. Single question about why share price is so far below NAV. No explanation or speculation provided.

Some read across from the Octopus renewables. I keep adding small amounts here.

Scuff I think it is general market weakness not anything specific. Yield now 7.1% with consistent quarterly dividend payments.

52 week low at the moment despite being 52 weeks closer to greater cash generation and greater need for energy storage. Apart from making guesses I cant see whats producing the constant drip downwards or why we seem to be the black sheep. I think all my other stocks have had a bounce of some sort today. This is the only one that has regressed. Im not one for keep nattering about adding but I am thinking if I have confidence in the eventual success of GSF then now must be a good time to up my holding and if I havent then perhaps I should sell the lot. The constant drip makes me wonder if there is some fundamental problem of which I am unaware. Although even GRID hasnt moved much since last summer. Any views/opinions as to how this may play out?

I've added a few before divi and after. They will benefit from both the budget allowances on capital spend but also the Inflation reduction act in the US. This was trading at a premium to NAV for ages, and IMV is a steady addition to a dividend PF esp below NAV

Ex-dividend knocked 2p off the price today.

Well some folk certainly don't like the look of it. No permanent recovery in the share price. Probably too many unknowns at the moment, but whether that's an opportunity or not is tricky to work out. As that set of comments hints at, there is a risk of more than one factor affecting the progress of projects and their future returns.

#Scruff1 … yes I agree, I can’t remember off the top of my head, but I think that the income will start to grow significantly from later next year … of course, we don’t know what the income contracts will be … however I am a believer in this stock, given the need to balance the grid from renewables will only continue to grow. 👍🏻

Short term? Arent we looking towards greater income coming on stream from this year onwards?

On the proviso that there is no capital raising through a share issue, then with 481m shares in issue the 7.5p dividend (I’m assuming that will happen because of the increase in NAV) will cost around £36m so good to see that the income now means an improvement to the dividend cover (at least in the short-term).

NextEnergy getting into the battery storage space too. Interesting to see what happens in the sector! Mergers for scale makes sense to me. 🤔

While I’ve been holding shares they’ve raised funds at 102p(NAV 99.6p), 107p(NAV 101p), 110p(NAV 103.9p).

I have no problem with them raising more funds if they can maintain that upward trend at a premium to NAV.

With last reported NAV of 111.1 pence as at 30 Sep 2022, and the chairman buying £200k worth of shares @ 113.36p, I’m inclined to think the next raise won’t occur until the share price reaches at least 123p, so they can discount the next placing down to about 116p or better.

edit - As that NAV figure is 5 months out of date, the next NAV announcement could paint an entirely different picture.
