Thats a good point Hercule. and we also know the miners are stupid cheap agaibst gold, we are effectively buying pound notes (remember them :) ) for 40p at the moment, until Retail catch on.

Gold and silver have had enough, they are pulling away after every smack down. Very bullish price action , the train is deff leaving the building it seems, motoring again this morning. Miners will catch a real bid at some stage.

Complete disconnect between POG and miners. Probably serial disappointment around miners earnings never delivering or explorers failure to deliver up producing mines within a reasonable timeframe or without diluting shareholders to oblivion in the process.

Gold is on fire again. Iran's sabre rattling must be helping the Gold price. Glad I topped up this afternoon. Can't understand the selling of GPM today bearing in mind the current global economic and political situation.

the limit order thing happens with HL, it doesn't get filled even though there are trades at that price. Its highly annoying.

I suspect its them or their market makers wanting to profit off the bid offer spreaad -even if there are crossings orders from the clients at the same firm.

They've changed something but wont admit it.

They also wont execute a limit order unless your limit price equals the official bid or offer price even if trades are going through better than your limit price.

Gold consolidating at around $1,325 - $1,350 which is very healthy.

If we had seen yesterday's inlation 'print' a year ago gold would have been slammed by $70. Any activity in Isreal (Iran) will have a short term impact on gold, likely positive. Already seeing speculation in Brent.

"The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.4% last month after February’s 0.4% increase, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics said on Wednesday. The latest inflation data was higher than expected as economists looked for a 0.3% increase.

The report said that in the last 12 months, headline inflation rose 3.5%, also coming in above expectations. Consensus forecasts were calling for an increase of 3.4%."
