16/5/2024 23:00 | "Over last 3 months my 2 silver holdings on the TSX are up 85% aftermath. 130% Endeavour. What has GPM had to offer …10%." I don't understand where you get your 10% figure for the GPM share price rise from, stevieweebie2 From my 6 month chart you can see that the GPM share price has risen by almost 50% over the last 3 months | papillon
16/5/2024 22:52 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com 6 months Log chart comparing performance of GPM vs GDXJ. Over the last 6 months GPM has outperformed GDXJ, stevieweebie2 | papillon
16/5/2024 21:32 | EditI suppose I should compare it with GDXJ for a fairer comparison but c'mon giddyup will ya | stevieweebie2
16/5/2024 21:30 | Currently in the Canaries celebrating my 60th and what a good week on the silver/gold front it's been to soften the blow ?But not with GPM sadly.Over last 3 months my 2 silver holdings on the TSX are up 85% aftermath.130% Endeavour. What has GPM had to offer ...10%. | stevieweebie2
16/5/2024 20:30 | I think you meant to write "During 2020" and not 2022, 12string. | papillon
16/5/2024 20:04 | Net Asset Value now 44p and we know that the valuations in GPM's portfolio are very likely lagging (not reflecting) the recent price increases in gold, silver and Platinum. I bought more GPM this morning @ 35.4p which is a 19.5% discount to NAV. During 2022, when GPM price rose above 60p in a bull market, the discount to NAV reduced to zero and was less than 10% for several months. So given that macro-economics should strongly favour precious metals, GPM seems to me to be a screaming buy, with little risk taking a long term (2-year) view | 12string
16/5/2024 18:53 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com 5 year GPM log chart. As can be seen the rising 50 day EMA had already risen above the rising 200 day EMA a few months ago and has now recently risen above an already rising 400 day EMA. As can be seen from the past (look at a 25 year chart for extra confirmation) these "Golden Crosses" are Strongly Bullish indicators of a continuing Bullish run. | papillon
16/5/2024 16:10 | Here's some positive thoughts. We are way behind the moves in gold, as is pointed out here. A long way to go yet folks "people should position their portfolios before the rise". | different world
16/5/2024 15:51 | The Gold price is just going sideways in a consolidation phase after the spectacular rise during March & early April. It could drop down to lower Bollinger Band for support before rising again | papillon
16/5/2024 15:31 | The new non-exec has bought some stock after a week in the job. Good to see. | m24xp
16/5/2024 13:08 | The GPM share price has performed very badly compared to the Gold price peak of 2020 when the GPM share price hit a peak of 72p. Why? Well the discount of the share price to the NAV has gone from a tiny premium to a very wide discount. However the main reason is that Gold & Silver miners are completely out of favour with investors. However that has started to change | papillon
16/5/2024 12:59 | thanks for the excellent analysis! | arbus5000
16/5/2024 12:54 | If you compare the percentage rise in the GPM share price with the percentage rise in the NAV since the end of February, M24XP, you will see that the GPM share price has performed slightly better than the NAV, by around 2%. The share price has risen by 47.9% since the end of February and the NAV has risen by 45.73% during that period. Your good chart has confirmed my figures. You must always compare percentage rises when comparing the rises between the share price & NAV. This is why many chartists prefer log charts compared with linear charts. PS taking your estimated NAV, different world, that pushes the percentage rise in the NAV since end of February up to 47.5%. Edit: the most recent NAV is given as 44.01p which pushes the percentage rise in the NAV since end of February to 46.7% | papillon
16/5/2024 12:53 | All of the top ten holdings rose overnight, and as the published NAV is 24 hours behind, I'd suggest tomorrow's print will be around 44.25p. GPM are now looking ludicrously cheap. | different world
16/5/2024 12:22 | This graph shows the mid-price, NAV and % discount over the last 4 months: | m24xp
16/5/2024 12:15 | I am keeping track of it in a spreadsheet papillon. Up until 12/4 the share price did indeed rise alongside the NAV and maybe higher as a % as the discount to NAV decreased to almost 12% (mid) at one point. However since then the shareprice has moved down then up in a U shape (similar to the gold price) while the NAV has in fact continued to rise in a gentle uptrend - about 10% up over that time. The shareprice has some catching up to do. | m24xp
16/5/2024 12:06 | If you compare the performance of the GPM share price with the GPM NAV, M24XP, since the Gold price started on its Bull run at the end of February you will see that the percentage rise in the GPM share price since then is a bit better than the percentage rise in the GPM NAV. The very large discount of the GPM share price to the NAV is the problem. | papillon
16/5/2024 11:48 | GPM was the top performing investment company in terms of NAV growth last month according to this article Looks like we're in the right place, just need the share price to perform as well as the NAV! | m24xp
16/5/2024 00:18 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Short term Silver chart. Silver has broken out! Silver is now testing the March high and needs to surpass it. That would be Strongly Bullish. MACD is Bullish as is the rising RSI. | papillon
16/5/2024 00:07 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Short term Gold price chart Unfortunately there's no breakout for Gold today. It's still going sideways. It's staying within the limits of those Bollinger Bands. A shame, but there's always another day! The long term Gold chart remains Strongly Bullish and the fundamentals for Gold remain Bullish. | papillon
15/5/2024 21:46 | "'The economy and stock market have never seen anything like this': There's an unprecedented number of recession signs flashing, veteran strategist says" "The US economy and stock market are on a clear path to recession, Paul Dietrich said. The B. Riley Wealth strategist pointed to a handful of warning signs that suggest a coming downturn. The final blow to the economy could be the US pulling back on stimulus spending, he said." | papillon
15/5/2024 19:08 | BTC has responded well to today's US CPI figure for April. Currently up 5.7%. Silver also doing well. Currently up over 3%. GDXJ closed up 3.85% at 4:30pm. | papillon
15/5/2024 18:58 | These charts include those showing Bollinger Bands. They are around 3 hours old. Pt is doing exceptionally well today. It has broken out! | papillon
15/5/2024 17:28 | Yes, the Gold price has now recovered and is showing a nice rise on the day, M24XP and wskill. However as this candlestick chart shows the Gold price is still going sideways in a consolidation phase, constrained within the Bollinger Bands and has yet to break out. Hopefully the breakout upwards will happen very soon. Maybe even later today?🤞 free stock charts from uk.advfn.com PS Silver is doing exceptionally well. Perhaps that has broken out? I'll check later after helping out in the kitchen! 🤣 | papillon
15/5/2024 17:16 | Not too shabby now pap maybe a delayed reaction ,unless its worry about the assassination attempt on the pro Russian Slovak PM. | wskill |
