20/4/2024 18:28 | pap, watched, the chap speaks sense. Sold just now, good profit, watch list for now. | dudishes
19/4/2024 22:36 | "What Do You Get When Central Banks Start Panic Buying Gold?" Interesting video. Worth watching. | papillon
19/4/2024 21:40 | Silver is doing very well lately. HOC has risen more than 50% since the start of March and has more than doubled in the last 12 months. | papillon
19/4/2024 19:34 | Cheers Pap yes you are right maybe hang on to Fres a bit longer in the hope we get back to £9 . | wskill
19/4/2024 19:27 | Considering the recent strength of the Gold & Silver prices the discount of the GPM share price to it's NAV is still, rather surprisingly, very large. I can only guess at the motives of the recent sellers of GPM. | papillon
19/4/2024 19:00 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com FRES vs GDXJ log chart comparison, wskill From the start of April FRES has performed much better than GDXJ. From the start of March the performance has been similar. | papillon
19/4/2024 16:45 | Thanks Pap it is mainly because I want more correlation with gold I guess, Fres mines 600k oz of gold as well but I suppose its because I made a lot of cash on it before every dog has its day I think and its time I moved . | wskill
19/4/2024 16:29 | I don't follow FRES, wskill, but I'll do a comparison chart with GDXJ for you tonight if you wish. I believe FRES primarily operates in Mexico. Are there political constraints that hold the share price back? Just wondering because, as I say, I don't follow it. PS FRES mines mainly Silver I believe, whereas GDXJ is, like GPM, mainly geared towards Gold. | papillon
19/4/2024 16:20 | 👍 M24XP Gold & Silver on the rise, especially Silver. GDX & GDXJ are both up. Not so GPM! 🤬 | papillon
19/4/2024 16:17 | Pap looking at GDXJ and how it moves I am considering moving from Fres which I hold a decent amount around 8% of portfolio and in profit to GDXJ, simply because its not correlated to moves in the precious metal prices it used to be a few years back. Not sure of the reason other than its UK listed and the Hedge funds easily control the action to what they require each day. | wskill
19/4/2024 15:47 | And can still buy for 33.4p. Crazy discount. | m24xp
19/4/2024 15:40 | Yesterday's NAV 41.51p (up 0.79p on previous day). | weyweyumfozo
18/4/2024 14:56 | "Here's Why Gold Is Skyrocketing (Not what You Think!)" Do watch this George Gammon video. He puts forward a compelling argument on why Gold is currently rising and it's not what people think. Based on previous Gold Bull runs he expects the Gold price to peak after 2030. However nothing goes up in a straight line, so expect plenty of volatility on the way to that peak. Very good video. Well worth watching. | papillon
18/4/2024 14:04 | Both Gold & Silver are doing well today. | papillon
18/4/2024 13:56 | Yesterday's NAV 40.72p (up 0.75p on previous day). | weyweyumfozo
18/4/2024 12:39 | Only 3 trades so far today. 2 buys at 33.47p & 33.45p respectively (shown as as sells by advfn because they're below mid-price) and 1 tiny sell @ 33.01p. | papillon
18/4/2024 11:26 | It might be worth sticking with GPM for at least a few months: ..."A cycle peak for the GDX/XME ratio is ‘due’ this year, so the catching-up should begin soon. We suspect that gold mining stocks will reach their next cycle peaks relative to general mining stocks in the same way that a character in an Ernest Hemmingway novel described how he went bankrupt: “Gradually and then suddenly.” So, a reasonable argument can be made that gold mining stocks, as a group, are cheap right now. At least, on an intermediate-term basis they are cheap relative to gold bullion and general mining stocks. This provides no information about likely performance over the next few weeks but creates a good set-up for large gains to be made within the next six months." | weyweyumfozo
17/4/2024 21:50 | Interesting article, well worth reading. | papillon
17/4/2024 21:13 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com Gold Ichimoku chart showing Heiken-Ashi candlesticks. Could it be possible the Gold price is about to go sideways for a bit, rather like in March, before quickly rising again? | papillon
17/4/2024 19:28 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com 25 year GOLD price linear chart. The 200 day EMA is rising and is above a rising 400 day EMA. As can be seen from this chart that's Strongly Bullish. The recent high of $2431 appears to be the target price from the Bullish IH&S that took around circa 4 years to form. PS the longer term Bullish Cup & Handle chart pattern that has taken around 13 years to form gives a potential target price of $3000+ PPS as the above charts show the Gold price can be very volatile even when on a longer term bull run! Expect lots of ups and downs even when the longer term trend is up. | papillon
17/4/2024 19:09 | free stock charts from uk.advfn.com This 6 year Gold price linear chart shows that the chart is Strongly Bullish. The rising 50 day EMA is still above the rising 200 day EMA. | papillon
