04/3/2024 11:44 | Good point... The last bull market in Junior Miners was 2010/11... Its coming... The major miners are lazy...they do precious little exploration, watch the Juniors fall to oblivion...then they catch fire and the majors wade in too late... E.G. SOLG...Cascabel alone has more gold in the ground than the Japanese Gold Reserves but the share price is at an all time low, while BHP and NCM's holdings have steadily diluted... PS I hold 500k GPM... | rougepierre
04/3/2024 11:34 | No, rougepierre. They have under performed recently just like GPM. It's solely because the Gold miners that GPM, GDX & GDXJ invest in have under performed. Why? Because Gold miners, as a sector, are completely out of favour with investors. Hopefully that will change. As a link I posted a few days ago stated, "Gold miners are currently stupid cheap" The reason that GDX & GDXJ have performed better than GPM recently is mainly because they don't trade at a whacking great discount to their NAV. Why? Because they are ETF's. | papillon
04/3/2024 10:54 | So work this out...? The last three times we hit this Gold price (c$2080/5) the GPM share price hit... 72 in August 2020 52 in April 2020 38 in April 2023 So...IMO...this is all down to GDX/GDXJ... | rougepierre

02/3/2024 22:17 | "Gold is inches from a Huge Breakout". A Jordan Roy Byrne video "Precious Metals surged today led by Gold's 2% gain to $2096. It needs to clear $2100 convincingly to confirm an epic breakout. Gold's 4-year handle has two cup and handles within it, that project to $2350 and $2500. Silver should outperform Gold in this macro environment but Gold has the advantage in the near-term due to better technicals." | papillon
02/3/2024 14:12 | "The next big surge in gold may be starting, and the $2100 level is critical. A sustained post-fed breakout would support a notable rally into the third quarter (2024 elections). Gold miners are stupid cheap and could play catch up if gold soars." Well worth reading this article. Contains some good charts. | papillon
