29/12/2023 22:55 | Did someone say that monthly closing prices were important chart wise, and November 2023 was the highest. December 2023 has just beaten it. | weyweyumfozo
29/12/2023 19:50 | Yes I'm with AJ Bell - frustrating they don't seem to trade GPM although to be fair they've been pretty good with everything else. | riverman77
29/12/2023 14:42 | Been buying GPM over the last week or two. The published bid/offer are false - the bid was typically around midprice and the price at which you could actually buy at was usually 0.5-1p over the published offer price. Only way to buy more than a tiny amount was to put in a FOK order. On the other hand it was very easy to get a large sell quote. Neither of my brokers is AJ Bell. | on target
29/12/2023 14:23 | Try interactive investor, 1hercule. Alternative to GPM? Try Van Eyck ETF GDXJ (LSE:GDXJ). It doesn't trade at a discount to NAV and is invested in junior gold miners. PS I prefer GPM over GDXJ, because of the large discount to NAV as that discount will narrow as Gold goes on a bull run. | papillon
29/12/2023 13:26 | Seems extremely illiquid and unable to pickup up a single share today. I will have to stick with their sister fund CYN for the time being which actually now has 25% in precious metals, plus some useful exposure to uranium (about 10%) and a few other areas that look interesting. | riverman77

28/12/2023 17:22 | Yup - all down to gold and silver now. If gold does reach the promised land of $2500 and silver $40 then GPM, with a narrowing discount and a fair wind should have no problem in reaching £1 sometime in 2024. | different world
28/12/2023 14:49 | Trading at 26% discount to NAV... Ludicrously cheap... | rougepierre
28/12/2023 07:25 | Morning all - strong performance overnight in Oz for our interests, firm close in Canada as well, and gold on the way to $2100. The good times are about to start in GPM. | different world

27/12/2023 16:26 | The Gold price chart is Strongly Bullish and the Gold price is about to go on a bullish run, yet someone has just sold 55,000 GPM shares! You couldn't make it up! There's no doubt about it; investors can do very, very, strange things! 🤣🤣 | papillon
27/12/2023 12:11 | I'm expecting the NAV to breach 37p per share today. | different world
27/12/2023 07:18 | Golden Prospects Precious Metals (GPM) tipped as a BUY for 2024 by Nigel Somerville on the Share Prophets website last night. An excellent read, and he's very bullish. | different world
26/12/2023 20:29 | "Analyst Alasdair Macleod notes that gold prices rose significantly last week, but the miners did not hedge their positions. He believes this is because mining boards have come to realize that it is the weakening US dollar, not gold, that is the cause of the price increase. As a result, they have decided to hold off on hedging their positions." | papillon
26/12/2023 11:30 | Morning all - hope everyone had a decent xmas. Been laid low with a mild flu for a few days so haven't posted, good to see gold up $10 this morning in pre-trading over in New York to $2063.25 currently. bodes well for a decent start here tomorrow as well, everything is now keeping the pot boiling for gold and silver, so I'd expect we'll breach 30p tomorrow for starters. EDIT: I notice the discount has widened again to over 20% so even more reason for us to push over the 30p mark tomorrow. | different world
26/12/2023 08:52 | Sorry haven't posted for a couple of days as got delayed coming through Switzerland 🤣 Gold in the 2060s | 1hercule
25/12/2023 14:17 | "I may be bearish about equities in general, but I am much-cheered about the state of play when it comes to Gold, which finished for Christmas at $2053 – nicely up from last week’s $2019 having suffered something of a wobble after putting in a new all-time high." | papillon
