The real value in the deal is that we can pay-off the chinese and start to increase our assets elsewhere, starting this week or next. The shackles have been removed.

The key is to increase production and become self sufficient, like AMER and gran tiera energy before us.

Z34 will now take care of itself.

NicoEvos. That about sums it up.
The real monetary value of the deal is in the carry through the last three phases. As TG said this could range from c.$100m (seismic/one well carry)- $200m+ (three wells), yet the media have not even mentioned the main point of the deal and that is the value of seismic and drilling. (well costs are from the SeyP note).

Is the deal seismic + a two well carry which is the mid deal of the above?.

The cash is by far the smallest value element of the deal but that is all that is mentioned.

Another snippet in the D Express today,(quick look at the papers in WH smith)

JV partner to pay £3.8M for 80%, no mention of the Three carries though.

I did expect the share price to be up today, 2-3p, not down to 1.85/1.95p.

Yes Hugo , enjoyed reading your "article" it was down to earth and informative as to why billions of quids worth of oil is only worth a nano-penny of its true value.

It may be that the true value will come with time if Nancy produces well, and the other assets progress. Faith can be restored and then finally Z34 will be recognized for its huge value (in free carry alone).

Of course this may also be the first phase in realizing true value by arranging a buyout of GOO which is IMHO grossly undervalued as it stands compared to its peers.

As we wait patiently for the share price to rise I thought that this might cheer everyone up. I live not far from this and if you are ever visiting france you need to put this on your list of places to visit. To me it's one of the most beautiful places on this planet.

This is frustrating, why cant people see the value here? Hell we were at 7p last year on rumors of a deal; now we have one and a good one at that, we look like we could drift back to 1.6/7p again..........

It will be time for a Groundhog pic at this rate.
