Activity is picking up in Namibia ;Walvis basin;Chevron/Sintana Energy (TSX:SEI.V) - PEL82Geological model development and reprocessing of historic data including going over well data on/around the block. Firm up target areas, possibly run more seismic and focus for lead/prospect inventory buildup. Sometime to go yet.GBP - PEL94Looking forward to update on partnering negotiations - hopefully leading to a deal that places some real value on this one.TRP - PEL96Great work done over last few years to rework the block geo model with the benefit of findings further to the south - but they are hindered by poor dealmaking by their Management.Orange basin:GALP & Sintana Energy - PEL83#1 Well no 2A (4th well on the giant Mopane oilfield 585km2) drilling ahead - result in late December/early January.#2 Well no 3 (5th well on Mopane oilfield) to follow immediately after the above in an area that straddles the border with PEL85.BP/ENI/Rhino resources - PEL85#3 Sagittarius 1 well imminent spudding by Azule (BP/ENI JV company) and Rhino resources. An absolute 'peach' of a prospect just south of the Mopane oilfield - clearly on trend and seems to be looking for the extension of Mopane.Chevron/Qatar/Sintana Energy - PEL90 #4 Maiden well by Chevron Texaco on PEL90 - imminent - Deep-sea bollsta now on location. Late December start date. Huge billion+ barrel Kapana prospect is target no. 1 - similar playtype to Venus/Mangetti and to their north. Woodside/PCL/Sintana Energy - PEL87#5 End of Q1/2025 - Woodside Petroleum of Australia should firm up drill plan for the Saturn superfan megastructure (to earn it's 56% interest). Partners are Woodside - 56%, PCL 20%, Sintana energy 7.5% (carried), Namcor and Custos carry the balance. This is the most exciting exploration structure of the rest of the Namibian Orange basin - a colossal 2,400km2 - 4000km2 structure. Simply monstrous, even if it's likely to be several large targets rather than 1 absolute Goliath - it's staggering.Total/Qatar/AOI - PEL56Tambotti well completed and results likely imminent. Could confirm extension of Mangetti upto the PEL90 boundary.Just an overview of what's going on folks.Cash
