I don't doubt the integrity of the new management but when an interest free loan of £270k is given to the company to keep the lights on it shows GBP are not a serious player in the oil industry. From the finals, below is what a real farm-in in Namibia looks like.

That's correct. But you need to get this advanced over the line. What majors do is play along with mining squatters with no real intention of a farm-in programme. September 25 is only ten months away when the licence reverts back to Namibia. The Namibian government then re-award it to the majors who have the £100 millions required to bring the well into production. How many times have you read the word 'advanced' that has led to nothing.

As I say I do hope GBP is an exception to this rule.

RNS 1/11/2024 - "This led to an up-tick in interest in the PEL 0094 farm-in process in 2024 and in August the Company announced that it had entered into early commercial discussions with a potential operating partner for a farm-in of its PEL0094 licence. . These discussions continue and the Company hopes to announce a conclusion to these in the near future."

Well we are in November and there is still no sign of a farm-in. At this stage GBP is what is termed as a 'mining squat'. These are micro-companies that own licences that have the potential to produce millions of barrels of oil. The problem is these companies do not and will never have the money to start production.

How governments and major oil companies deal with these mining squats is to just wait them out. Come September 2025 its all over in Namibia for GBP without a major farm-in partner.

For shareholders sake I do hope GBP proves to be an exception to the rule.
