Brent is $132 this morning, as the US mulls cutting all purchases of Russian oil.A new, reliable, large source of supply is needed. Offshore oilfields across the Atlantic would fit the bill.The likes of Exxon, Chevron, Oxy etc will be mulling their strategic options pretty intensively!

Very good point re Italy's need for gas. I think they import about 30% from Russia, though previously I thought Algeria was the largest source:https://images.app.goo.gl/EUgg71cMWYkmBq4r6Either way they do indeed need more domestic production!

I have seen conflicting reports this week that state Italy's reliance on Russia gas is 40% to 100%, whichever figure is correct, Italy needs to find gas & oil on its own territory.
Interesting thought about taking the whole company out, we shall see.

This is a binary bet on a successful farmout. Price will drift until there is an RNS, after which it will either plummet or rocket. Anything else is irrelevant.

I expect a rise towards end of March but rumours are just that .We have clearly been told dates on farm in and I don't expect anything before .

The Venus well has not been drilled by gbp. Its drilled by total.Why does gbp continue to release rns's for other companies discoveries?.....when gbp are not even close to drilling their own prospects yet.They have very limited cash, need to do a farm out, then do lots of exploration and survey work, then find the money, then drill..Why are investors being told via rns about oil majors making discoveries which gbp aren't even part of.Ramping at its worst. Directly from the company. Its a huge red flag and points to them wanting to boost their shareprice as they're desperate for cash for working capital.

Doesn't matter how far it is. If it is an analogous play in a different basin, there is no pre-drill reason why it won't work for Global.Expressions of interest deadline is next week.....that will be material news.....
