To me it's simple GBP spend their cash on TRP drill at "mates rate" - GBP then runs to 20p and they can raise the cash they've spent quite easily.

ohisay,

I know, I followed pcl and their East-African well, a gas discovery. No doubt Tullow know what they are doing. The reason I am saying LEK before these other minnows is they actually have a major oil&gas discovery on their books in Nigeria.

Basically, what all these minnows are trying to do in Namibia, LEK have just done that and hit the jackpot in Nigeria. Effectively, their Namibian blocks are in for free and they won't collapse and go bust as others may do if their drilling does not come up trumps in Namibia.

Cash

PS, for East-Africa, there is only one game in town - AOI.

But PCL are super cheap Cash .Tullow are not dim when it comes to picking winners.
(You also get exposure to East Africa. )

ohisay,

Agreed, LEK then gbp are safer plays on Namibia. TRP is purely hype, a 'live-or-die' with the drillbit kind of stock.

The one thing that is blitheringly obvious to me is that TRP doesnt have a partner other than the Peters piggy bank .
This is why they've been playing the odds with the HRT wells knowing if push comes to shove they have a get out of jail card.

Given the current TRP price I expect either a TRP placing for the rest of the well costs or a 50%/100%^GBP involvement .Nobody else is going to get in at this late stage after the HRT failures and some more months.
They can't hang about because the current TRP price isn't sustainable pre drill.

My conclusion from all this is that they have been playing high stakes poker thinking that Repsol are not idiots.

Shares up more than 10% so if anything going on Company should RNS.

Some sort of Tower/Global tie up seems a definite possibility. They have form together, Tower need cash and can give away grossly inflated paper.

However my reservation is Tower a do or die one roll of the dice and I cant believe Global directors would blow their cash merging with Tower. However Global want a farm in partner for seismic and Tower want a farm in partner to drill.... With adjacent acreage they could be targeting same partner.

And what's Repsol's position in all this? They could farm into Global on basis of minimal seismic commitment and optional well. Just in case their well pays off.

It's great having some company on this board does tend to get a bit lonely here - so welcome Howie

Or a Tower bid for Global on basis Tower could offer a big premium. How much more dosh do Tower need to raise to pay their share of drilling costs?

Would be do or die for Global shareholders though! Cash support exchanged for a lottery ticket!

Other thought is whether whoever Tower have lined up to farm into their 30% (and share price indicates no fund raising?) may farm into Global or take out Global at same time.

does that mean that gbp is farming into trp ??

trp gone from 1.15 to 4.15...
gbp from 5 to 6...

Lol thanks Doughty I trust people are educated enough to pass judgement on my postings and your desperation as below. I am not going to respond to your weak accusation but would encourage people read my postings on the TRP board.

Snap of Doughty admitting he was down tens of thousands of pounds when the share price was 3p+, given he has admitted to selling yesterday its fair to assume he has got out at close break even.

I am in profit with my latest two recent top ups but overall down tens of thousands of pounds with my stake. This stock IS dirt cheap if you can take a 12 month view.

To say nothing of the unexpected !

I have never lost faith but hanging on has been "challenging"

+++ALEX HAWK WARNING BEGINS+++

This is a ALEX HAWK warning....

He has been disrupting our TRP thread that we have been happy on for quite a few years. He sold out at 1.7p when the recent rise started and predicted 1.4p...which we all ignored. He has been back deramping and trying to start rumours about one of our partner's ( Arcadia )ability to fund their share of costs and even said that Arcadia were wanting out because of Tower's three Ugandan dusters.

He has been inconsistent with his stories...has been editing and deleting posts and is basically a very unsavoury and unreliable character with dubious motives.

Beware of taking any notice of him.

He can appear quite plausible at times so beware of that too.

Alex,

Thanks for my quotation on LSE earlier.

200SMA is sitting at 6.2. This needs to go to see 7.5.
