GBP should be trading above cash at least, ie around 8p. cheap cake at this price

do we know whether HRT is drilling another well in namibia?

if yes, will be another potential rerating for GBP

SAPETRO recently acquired the large Juan de Nova block from Roc Oil for $8.5 million cash

SAPETRO also acquired the block to the south from another company (for an undisclosed sum plus 10% carry) so if Global is looking to exit the block they would be a potential buyer

Madagascar: OMV takes farmout from Niko Resources

HOUSTON, Aug. 30
08/30/2013

A unit of OMV AG has signed a definitive farmout agreement to earn a 40% interest from Niko Resources Ltd., Calgary, in the Grand Prix PSC in Madagascar.
Niko will retain a 35% working interest. Closing is subject to government approval. Niko expects nearly a combined $40 million in proceeds from this agreement and an unrelated Indonesia farmout with Hess Corp.
The Grand Prix block covers 4.2 million acres off Madagascar's central west coast. This part of the Morondava basin is underlain by deepwater fan systems and a Mesozoic rift system.

This was posted by Jimmy on iii board of Char, if its correct that Chevron may farm in GBP.........

The last HRT conference Call referred to potential drilling by other companies in Namibia and mentioned Chevron, which was a puzzle because Chevron do not currently have any acreage in Namibia.
However, an article in Africa Energy Intelligence has reported a visit by Chevron to Namibia to look at exploration acreage.
As most oil exploration acreage in Namibia is held by foreign entities, that is foreign owned entities who have their exploration offices outside of Namibia, with the exception of eco atlantic, it looks like such a visit is to meet the authorities prior to a farm in, with who ?
Chariot, HRT and Repsol most likely Operators of acreage available for farm out as they have the 3D seismic.

The Namibian Central Blocks held by Chariot are primed for farm out, particularly with two of HRT nearby wells finding oil and oil source rocks, but not in commercial quantities.
