Couple of highlights from Progressive TSL at the Africa E&P

"Daniel Mckeown from one of our clients Azinam – spoke about their dual desire of giving energy security to the world while giving back to local communities and hinted at some imminent announcements of new well plans."

"Scott Aitken from new private explorer Seapulse explained their plans for rapid growth over the next two years with an ambitious drilling strategy."

I thought they would have been ready for an announcement at the recent E&P Summit, but won't be far away by the looks

Jimarillo is not the only one that posts on this thread.
Majors have now acquired licences in offshore Namibia, drills are being planned.
Patience is the key here imo.

I included this licence in the 88k km2 acreage calculation, so still a short fall in numbers to agree this figure, yet to be explained. (as per post 7023)

Azinam regard Namibia and S/Africa as the same region. It seems Azinam/Seapulse are not finished building on their current footprint

McKeown said: “To continue to build our acreage footprint in an area now dominated by Majors and Independents is proof of Azinam’s offering as a competent operator and focused explorer, keen to move forward at pace.”

Here is a page from the presentation from Azinam last week, which shows GBP on the map, as well as TRP and Exxons new blocks

and from February slide 6 no GBP or TRP

Here is the February presentation been given. Note there are five wells lined up and a further three to be added. The first two are in PEL44 which would give you two wells Exxon are involved in

This presentation also mentions the new model and understanding of the Aptian source rock

Yes, sorry corrected now

Tavistock said, it was a technical presentation and needed to be signed off by Namcor, to be published on the company website

It appears wells have been drilled above the Aptian Shale and should have drilled through it. Which is what they said with the Welwitschia 1A well, "they did not reach the deeper targets"

"In Namibia, it’s interesting that ExxonMobil has taken a large new acreage position in the Namibe Basin in Northern Namibia where north of the Walvis Ridge there is some salt. In the Walvis basin and essentially totally undrilled Luderitz Basin though, there is now also clear evidence that many of the historic wells were drilled above the Upper Aptian Shale, which appears to be over pressured and could be acting as a seal. Equally interesting is the fact that the few wells drilled below the seal in the right parts of these and the Orange Basin to the south all found hydrocarbons where the wells encountered any reservoir. New wells that will test this concept will almost certainly result."

E&P Summit

Don't think Seapulse has mentioned drill locations in their presentation, but did say they have 88k sq km in Namibia and SA. (got this info from someone attending the Summit)

There must have been an over run as Azinam don't seem to have presented yet. Lets see if they are going to spill the beans today

Clearly Seapulse and Azinam are the same group, thing is......... Azinam's blocks only add up to 75490 km2

Clearly there is a short fall with Azinams blocks alone, so what blocks have they gained ??

(add GBP's 11608 = 87098 just a thought. bucket of salt required ?)

There are no such things as buys and sells there are only trades which are made up of one buy & one sell. People who base their strategy on such rubbish as "more buys than sells" should never be allowed to risk their money here as they don't understand what they are doing.
