10/10/2018 00:05 | Nothing like a bit of downside protection. How many basins away, and how many 100's of Kms away are the proposed Shell wells from GBP? | xxnjr1
09/10/2018 21:21 | Char volume picking up Seems to me holding GBP might be a safer bet. GBP would still see upside from here with a result from PS, as well as a potential deal to be done Of course there is a further two wells from Shell this year to add to the excitement and protect the downside | jimarilo

09/10/2018 15:55 | SZ up 30% today - sentiment is changing? | joestalin
09/10/2018 11:57 | Seem to have someone determined to hand over their shares in 100k blocks and been sold on a fair bit higher | jimarilo
08/10/2018 10:08 | Previously we thought a clean take out could be worth 8-10p/ £20m, before any drill results and before we knew about the new block 2011A Char are going into Prospect S with 65% interest and 29% cos, which may seem some what cavalier, time will tell If their confidence is well founded, our current (just over £4m) m/cap would be re-rated to multiples of the 20m above imo | jimarilo
07/10/2018 12:00 | Quite interesting exploration onshore Namibia, over 700 documented oil and gas seeps | jimarilo
06/10/2018 22:52 | Couple of links to recent updates to the company website In Block 2011A a survey recovered thermogenic gas from seabed cores, which suggests that of the oil and gas generated by the Aptian source rock, the gas has leaked up through a large fault that underlies these cores, whereas the oil has been trapped in the sub-surface. PEL0010 sits on a regional high, that will be a regional focus for migration and charge from a large fetch area over the Walvis Basin, Dolphin Graben & Namibe Basin.. Also an image of a 6km oil slick in PEL 10 area from the TRP presentation Page 13 | jimarilo
05/10/2018 13:17 | Can't find any info currently regarding Shells two wells I am guessing they will use the West Eclipse rig already in the bay. If Char hit pay they, want to drill a second well with the Poseidon So another 2 wells, possibly 3 after Chars Prospect S | jimarilo
04/10/2018 16:10 | How I missed that I do not know. Cheers | gaddy88
04/10/2018 12:31 | Char have spud Prospect S already, Shell are next up with two wells penfold6 4 Oct '18 - 11:51 - 6640 of 6642 (Filtered) | jimarilo
04/10/2018 11:54 | When does the next Namibia spud take place? | gaddy88
04/10/2018 11:51 | i thought you said that cashed up (for drilling and acquiring new assets) eco and aoc were farming into gbps blocks in namibia? now your latest comment is it's italy. last time i looked in an atlas, italy wasn't in the atlantic margin, where eco have stated their strategy lies. fool | penfold6
04/10/2018 10:05 | Note out this morning on ECO, few Namibia related snippets Eco seems to be getting walked down, are they about to do a fund raise ? The note mentions a possible new country entry, Italy ? | jimarilo
03/10/2018 22:50 | Tullows summing up so far on the result of C1 | jimarilo
03/10/2018 13:13 | Page 13 PEL0010 sits on a regional high, that will be a regional focus for migration and charge from a large fetch area over the Walvis Basin, Dolphin Graben & Namibe Basin.. Potential source kitchens also exist to the west of the license.. Edit : | jimarilo
02/10/2018 11:31 | Global Petroleum finds silver lining in Tullow’s dry well Global Petroleum Limited, an oil company focused on exploration in Namibia, is not discouraged by the recent dry well drilled by Tullow near Global’s assets. In fact, Global is encouraged by the result, as the well showed traces of hydrocarbons. | jimarilo
02/10/2018 08:50 | Can't see Char's well taking anything like 40 days, if they drill at a similar pace Cormorant took just 16 days to reach TD, when PCL first heard news | jimarilo
02/10/2018 08:47 | Just on the risking, look at p13 of the CPR. Source and reservoir are both risked at 0.5 for the main target at Gemsbok. If both were risked at, say, 0.7 then the overall risking would improve to c. 25%. Not saying that would be the case.....but apparently small increases in confidence over risking can have a big impact on CoS. | emptyend
02/10/2018 08:36 | The Company particularly notes that the Cormorant well was drilled much more rapidly than prognosed, which clearly has favourable implications for future well costs in the area. The rig which drilled the Cormorant well has now moved further south to drill Chariot's Prospect S well and the results of this well will provide further data on opportunities offshore Namibia. This clearly out witted some before and they thought it worth noting. Is a deal ahead of the of the Prospect S result the new target ? | jimarilo
02/10/2018 07:43 | The significance of today's comments (and indeed the Cormorant well) is that a working petroleum system has now been proven substantially closer to Gemsbok.Since source was the primary risk factor in the original risking of Gemsbok (and most others), I would guess that Gemsbok risking may now be somewhere over 20% if a fresh analysis was done.......all we need is someone with the financial capacity to 3D and drill it. | emptyend
02/10/2018 07:32 | Since the directors are so encouraged obviously they will be loading up with shares now. | hugepants
02/10/2018 01:29 | Not often the Peters send out announcements like this Does the above mean it's game on ? Can potential suitors wait for another positive well result and risk loosing what just might be major fields in our blocks ? All the usual Namibian players at the Africa oil week conference, apart from GBP who did present at the Africa E&P summit in May. No need to present here ? | jimarilo
02/10/2018 00:49 | An announcement on the ASX Peter Hill, Global Petroleum’s CEO, commented: “We are very encouraged by firm evidence from drilling of a working hydrocarbon system in the area adjacent to our acreage, which we believe has positive implications for the multiple prospects in our Namibian portfolio. We are fortunate that this news has arrived so soon after we secured Block 2011A. It has increased our confidence in the prospects for all our Blocks and we look forward to progressing their exploration.” | jimarilo |
