Its all relative, but at least two

More than probably I should for a micro cap, but been averaging down on the drops

The Peters (ex Dana)40%, the potential in PEL 29, Tullow, Exxon etc and the general upturn in Namibia, have all been contributing factors

....don't forget they will want 3D first - so any early drilling done is highly unlikely to be done on GBP's blocks. But someone else may get a decent deal if they are ready to go?

"What would happen if a GBP farm-out and rig contract were signed simultaneously for a June spud?"

Sounds to fantastic, considering the holding I have. Normally news of that size and impact is reserved for positions where I have dipped a toe in the water

The impact to the share price would be outrageous ;-)

However with rig rates at unbelievably low rates with massive potential upside in Gemsbok.

The idea could be the cheapest deepwater wildcat well in many years. Certainly this would be pocket change for Major and worth a punt

The Poseidon is drill ready, are we ?

The rig rate has dropped dramatically, from $650k/day to Tullows rate of $139k/day

Could be a one off opportunity for someone

The company are remaining tight lipped currently as I have had no replies to emails of late, which would be understandable if they are are in talks

....note that the "drill-ready status" and location are confirmed in Ocean's Q1 conference call.....https://seekingalpha.com/article/4175185-ocean-rig-udws-orig-ceo-pankaj-khanna-q1-2018-results-earnings-call-transcript?part=singleWhy has the rig been sent to Walvis Bay six months prior to the reported contract start date??? Why is it being kept hot-stacked and drill-ready? What would happen if a GBP farm-out and rig contract were signed simultaneously for a June spud?It may not be likely - but surely the rig is there early in expectation of doing something for someone??

worth keeping an eye on the rig Tullow have contracted? They have moved the rig to Walvis Bay and are looking to hire it out......but Tullow's "one well plus options" contract isn't scheduled to spud Cormorant-1 until 1st Sept. So what might it do before then? And what are the options?https://www.offshoreenergytoday.com/ocean-rig-lands-new-gig-for-poseidon-drillship/.....and note that it can cope with deep water.

Azinam is a sponsor and presenter at the Africa Summit in London this week

Sends this message out today

Offshore oil and gas exploration firm Azinam focused on Namibia is preparing for a multi-well drilling campaign over the next two years.

Azinam Chairman, Erik Tiller, said: “With a rapidly improving market combined with a significant renewed industry appetite for exploration and upcoming drilling activity, the spotlight is firmly on Namibia.

Quite interesting back in November 2015, when the company renewed PEL29 licence they said,“Following our recent work, we regard our own acreage as being amongst the most exciting in the country"

Quite a significant statement considering the Peters background

Lets hope others are seeing that potential as well

Namibia land grab continues.....

Calima Energy awarded acreage off Namibia

Over the last six months Exxon, Total, Tullow, ONGC, Africa Energy Corporation (Lundin), and BW Offshore all farmed-in to projects offshore Namibia and over the next twelve months at least four deepwater wells are expected to be drilled.

TRP are an irrelevant minnow. Either a much bigger company comes in to the GBP farm-out.....or there will be two irrelevant minnows swimming in the Walvis Basin and worth less than £10mn between them.

I noticed this morning TRP are not done with Namibia in their recent rns.

"Our objectives for the year ahead include getting our drilling program underway in Thali, planning further work in Cameroon including the pathway to production, agreeing plans to move forward in South Africa and Zambia, and potentially in Namibia, and generally continuing to strengthen our financial position. We look forward to achieving these goals."

"Our strategy continues to be to shift our focus towards lower risk exploration and development within proven basins, best characterised by our 2015 signature of the Thali PSC in the Rio Del Rey basin, offshore Cameroon. We have not abandoned high risk/reward exploration altogether: we still have our licenses in Zambia and South Africa, for example, and we also have a new license under discussion in Namibia."

From the ASX Corporate Government Statement

The statement was omitted when publishing the appendix 4G back in September 2017, so for completeness have re-published it today

Doesn't seem a big deal unless they are near a deal and as a matter of Corporate correctness need to get all the relevant boxes ticked ?
