Model I forget now where Vaiman's entry point was but I dare say he'd be much happier (in these straightened times) with £3 in the hand as opposed to (a) 150p divi or (b) a quasi interest in some rubbish tech fund. Suspect one or two of the other largish holders will see it that way as well. Good posts from you and Kooba as usual - keeping the rest of us up to date. Hope your right and I will now open a good claret in the hope that a full scale liquidation is about to appear over the horizon. Gne1 shouldn't have too much trouble offloading the remaining sites to another of the indies I wouldn't have thought? Who knows even Petrogas might pick em up!

As for the directors - poor souls - they must be so confused right now!!! Lol.

agree will let you know if and when i get a response to email from seymour.picked up 5000[ t 10 admin reasons] @160p and offered more straight away,am holding off till next week but there is stock out there still.

kooba - well that's what the AIM Rules say so if Seymour say different you have to wonder how they qualify to be a NOMAD (unless of course they don't consider going from a Petrol Retailer to a Technology Investment Company is a change of use!)

ah that would make a big difference but was not how i understood it...i am sure you are correct but have a call in to seymours to clarify.

if defeated would the "action group" seek to return to the 150p distribution and gne2 or go for a complete liquidation and payout. i can't see ratcliffe and co being supportive of gne2.

kooba - A change of use needs a "special reolution" which requires 75% of the votes cast on the day - that's the concert party's BIG problem

model they speak for 28.7% in the concert party one can presume invesco votes with them that's another 4.24% so they have at least 32.95% now on a straight 50% of votes cast will the "action group" not need more than that to block the motion? since only 65% of shareholders normally vote and there are 6000 shareholders in gne i think that sounds like a tall order.

john how unlikley is it that this bull fight ends up in a long dispute which will drag on and on......liquidation sounds good or back to the dividend..? Anyhow I just hope we small holders dont get screwed up in the process,only hold 15k of these but the majority was in the 80/90p so for once that I topped up at the right time .....£3 would be very nice but then I dont want to be too greedy £2.90 will do me...lol

guru - I think you'll find that the "Smart" people are going to try and get their hands on GNE's bank account and who can blame them when the share price is at such a massive discout to assets and those assets are 90% cash.How the market will view this squabble who knows but I think the inevitable end result will be liquidation, which should have happened months ago, and would have done if the board had owned but a pitiful handful of shares.It is hard to know what some of the hard assets will fetch, they've a fuel card business and property interests.Probably come to a little over £3 a share when the professionals have taken taken all their fees, so hanging on should prove profitable.The pirates will still get their treasure and I doubt they came for anything else.

Please can someone help me - is whatever is going to happen going to be Positive, Negative, Neutral towards the private shareholder or do I need to ring the company to find out?

I can only assume something needs to happen to break this deadlock so any news is better then no news.

kooba - they only need 25% to block Ratcliffe from changing the company to an Investment Trust - I doubt luck will play a part
