In staying for the divi... £4Ks worth.. this will be a lot high than current price over the coming months.

interesting and that buying for dividend I have seen in aussie stocks and I sometimes
trade them always selling a day or tow before ex div date . But GLEN's dividend is small in sterling terms of course ! However, most mining stock ahve turnaroubnd and
most are now up on the day following LEADER GLEN ! ( smile )

It is also rising on the fact that copper price has been rising from around
7.00 am this morning that along with the divi collectors like you say Losses this is keeping the momentum going for now, but it could also drop heavily from around 3.30 to 4.30 on people bailing out and taking profits on the day, as tomorrow it will open approximately 7.8p lower accounting for the divi being taken off.
companies sometimes fall considerably further than the divi amount especially if the divi is quite big.
look at VOD all the divi collectors that are now locked in unless they sell with a loss.
I think the advantage with GLEN is that the price of copper and all non ferrous metals has taken a beating since June 1st 18 so if this recovers in the next 6 months GLLEN will be back on form again.

Arja... it's due to the divi collectors.I have seen this before people buying and then dumping it before close... buying back in again on exDiv date.

why is GLEN performing today and not as other mining stocks ? Must ve some news about

Losses thank you for your time on this, going by what you say that would mean the divi exchange rate has not been confirmed yet but should be calculated on
12th September a week after XD which amounts to 3weeks before payment.
That works out at current exchange rate as I type $1.2811 to £1.00 giving 7.805 p

This was for the last one..Pound Sterling, Euro and Swiss Franc amounts payable are determined by reference to the closing mid exchange rates applicable to the US dollar on Wednesday 2 May 2018.

Morning just a quick question on what date is GLENs dividend exchange rate date, as there are some shares such as VOD that calculate their divi exchange rate based on the average exchange rate for the 4 day prior to payment date.

There are also some that take the exchange rate from the date of declaration.
I do know the approx. exchange will be around 7.6p per share so would assume any figures would have already been calculated as wee only have up to 16.29 pm today in order to qualify for the divi.
All explanation's very welcome.

SCOBLE2, Where do you get a 8.5p dividend from 10 Cents with the GBP/USD currently at 1.2824 ? So that makes a 7.8p dividend

Regarding dividend since Glen already down any chance that will not fall by much post dividend?Copper bounce post trump China resolution...if that happens.....Could be big imov...but not for a month or two?
