Randgold reported record gold production last year. Sales in the fourth quarter were up 26% and for the year were 3% higher.

Profits were up 38% at $294m and the company is proposing a 52% rise in its dividend to $1.00 per share.

Randgold has five big mines, two in Mali the others in Senegal, Cote d'Ivorie and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

It went low for a reason and those issues have been resolved... they are so confident that they have announced 1bln dividend this year.
