03/7/2008 16:27 | Vince, never a truer word spoken. I will sit on my investments and see what happens, no point chasing profits from elsewhere. It's only paper losses and they do say it's only a loss if you sell. I'm hoping give it a year and the markets will be recovered. Nice offer, although it's most unlikely I'll find myself that far south but thank you, it's kind of you to be thoughtful (I'm sure it's a libran thing). I hope your investments work out okay. Oooohhhh goodness, lucky I got home when I did, thunder now. | sharewinner2
03/7/2008 16:12 | sharewinner2 The reality re the market is that some ex-blue chip stocks i.e. the backbone of our market , are under extreme pressure and if one of them goes under ( Like GEC Did )then we will see some drops of such significance . Interest rates will go up to steady the financial services ( Banks ) I am still of the opinion that for the moment it seems as if it will get a lot more difficult and money will be lost chasing profits ( its called greed )Resist the urge and keep on with the wine and if you are down in the London area with your partner and daughter i will treat you all to a good day out on me ( whilst i still have money that is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 03/7/2008 15:48 | Vince, is BDEV likely to recover before your T10?, I read a thing another poster said today and it was if you're not shorting you are fighting with one arm behind your back, how true that is. I'm in PRTY at the moment, paid about 285p, yesterday it was at 277p then for some obscure reason it dropped today to 225p. i just hope the markets start to recover, when I bought into things over the last 6 months I thought things were at a low, I'm now down on paper 50% and wondering how much lower it can go. Goodness I should really cheer up, thank goodness for wine, I'm sure it's the only thing that keeps me sane at the moment. | sharewinner2
03/7/2008 15:27 | sharewinner2 Mmmmmmmmmmmm i think life is telling you something , don`t you ? In truth i would really stear clear of the market at the moment . Fundamentals tend to have no baring on a company`s share value . The Market`s driven partly on fundamentals and sentiment . Usually they balance each other out . Sentiment is ruling the day in favour of gloom . Ressession or not the sentiment is driving it that way and we will have one on our hands . Therefore keep your dealings regular and stear away from speculation . You will loose money for sure . I still think that GLN`s story is simple : it has cash , it has a cash flow , it is generating revenues and is selective in expansion . I am only buying into these at present . So whats going to go wrong now ? You sound just a normal person trying to get through life and as we know life does this to you . I bought BDEV at 60p , 2 hours later i am down £2,000 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Vince | vinny1066
01/7/2008 12:42 | lfsquash Yeah all rather odd re_purchase price . While its good for me it just shows how we are all at the mercy of these guys ( MM )Intend to add over the next few months . Vince | vinny1066
01/7/2008 12:20 | That was going to be my question? | ljsquash
01/7/2008 12:18 | sharewinner2 Well you will never guess but i only paid 0.09p for the 1,000,000 !!!!!!!!! vince | vinny1066
01/7/2008 11:59 | Well next week I'm back to college for summer school to do my web design class again, My lecturer is just going to love seeing me again. LOL. You're probably right about not getting a job, when I originally stopped working I always planned on spending the first 3 years with my daughter, it seems they've done studies and the best start a child can have in life is to have 1 to 1 care for the first 3 years. I've got a year to go so should probably make the most of it. Good luck with your T10. Away out just now but catch up with you later. | sharewinner2
01/7/2008 11:34 | sharewinner2 God its sad when we are both dreaming of shares ! I have just bought another 1,000,000 in GLN and picked-up 10,000 in Barrett BDEV on a T10 and hope to get out next week with at least £1,000 + . Any plans for next week ? No don`t get a job ride-out the Summer first . Lol, Vince . | vinny1066
01/7/2008 11:08 | sharewinner2 Mmmmmmmm i think i would have been better with you rather than Milan !!! Too much guilt at being over there and way too expensive in every way for whet i spent my money on . Would have rather been at the coast . Very hot as well . GLN will i think only really move near or on the day of the interim statement later in the year . So i would suggest steady buying and accept that nothing significant will happen . You will recall that i felt they must have targets in sight already identified after the shack-up in the company and i contacted the MD via his mobile ( company mobile i guess ) asking whether it might be likely that a statement may be due with regards to the company`s expension given that this was clearly stated in the recent statement of company intent ? As we have seen they did infact acquire a company at a modest price !!! It will i am sure expand gradually which will reflect well later in the year . Vince | vinny1066
01/7/2008 10:35 | Just checking out the sales on plus markets again. And end of day there was another sale of £10k. 30th June even take away the sells and about £17K went through and does nothing to share price I reckon the 50% drop was due to MMs knowing news was coming and trapping people in, if anyone has any other explanation I would be glad to hear it. | sharewinner2
30/6/2008 17:16 | After my last post someone bought £10.5K of shares. Nice buy. | sharewinner2
30/6/2008 13:58 | Surprised not to see any buying yet? The 50% fall should be investigated but of course wil be over looked. | ljsquash
30/6/2008 13:11 | Nice little aquisition if I do say so myself. | knowing
30/6/2008 07:55 | Very good news indeed with the acquisition announced this morning:-)) | pre
30/6/2008 07:15 | The group has acquired a new business at a very low cost. Good to see they are quite canny in their acquisitions, £100,000 was all they spent in buying it. | sharewinner2
28/6/2008 16:20 | Hi Vince, well nails painted (vampy colour), lip gloss on, heels on, 2 glasses of vino down neck (ooh it's only 4p.m.). Well I'm off to have a great time, going to drink too much, giggle too much and try to forget about shares for at least 3 hours. I hope you are having a great time in Milan. You are sooooo lucky, I get to head out in the west end of Glasgow and you get to go to Milan. take care, speak to you soon. | sharewinner2
26/6/2008 18:20 | Drop it another 50% and I could be tempted!! Current MC presumably around NAV (reading back over dell's numbers). | double6
26/6/2008 16:21 | sharewinner2 Well i can only guess the person was short on cash for other stock he/she may be in or had to come out of ! You know paying for the stock or paying for the short fall on a sale . Just hang in it . I intend to buy next week so i shall let you know . By for now . Vince . | vinny1066
26/6/2008 16:15 | They sold at 0.05? are they mad? How does such a small sale mark the share price down so much. Doesn't seem to be any news, anyone know what's going on? | sharewinner2
26/6/2008 16:10 | Bloody hell, just been out and this is what I come back to? What's going on? | sharewinner2
26/6/2008 16:02 | Ooch !!! who sold their stock ? Vince. | vinny1066 |
