It has to do with income streams, tax and the dividend paying point.

What a stunning deal. Splitting the two businesses is logical and a great strategic move.

A real global leader is being created in the Consumer JV between the two giants of GSK and Pfizer.

To own equity in that new demerged JV company will exciting.

But the drug/R+D side of GSK will also be streamlined and ripe for a merger/take-over as well.
