Hopefully this one has made its mind up now and finished faffing around at 1590/1600p support, buyers coming in ahead of ex div in 3 weeks. Back to 1715p before long.

GlaxoSmithKline plc (LON:GSK) is reportedly mulling the sale of its Horlicks malted milk drink business in the UK as part of its plans to prioritise the drugs division.

The pharmaceuticals giant will offload Horlicks, which is marketed as a nutritional drink, in the UK but will keep it in India, according to the BBC.

Chief executive Emma Walmsley, who took over the reins from Sir Andrew Witty in April, said she wanted to focus on the company’s drugs business when she revealed her first set of results as boss earlier this year.

"I want to make that more at the heart of where we spend our leadership time and what we spend our time talking about," she said at the time.

Oh dear, the health postcode lottery. I am sorry to see the good people of Surrey so cruelly discriminated against.

The influence of overseas drugs giants in the UK healthcare system could come under scrutiny after it emerged that foreign firms are the driving force behind a judicial review challenge to new NHS drug pricing powers.

Decisions, decisions. There is a 21 month long upward trending support line on the chart which stands at around 1560 (and rising, of course) just now. I would be thinking a lot about what to do, if it broke down through that trend line. Cross that bridge whwn we get to it.

I'm in two minds whether to get back in. Being in the same position as before, except £1 cheaper, can't be bad. On the other hand I sold in the first place against the likelihood of a general pullback in the market.

It's largely down to how the strategic update is viewed, anyone's guess.
