08/8/2005 10:23 | Reasonable upbeat piece in the Independent: | tooredtobleed
08/8/2005 09:27 | buy sell is closing up a bit, hard going to get it thru the ton! | tooredtobleed
05/8/2005 08:28 | They buy back the shares because they believe the co is undervalued but I agree that the last rns was a bit of surreal speak re two different amounts of shares being in existence | tooredtobleed
04/8/2005 12:44 | Could someone explain to me the benefits of buying back so many of their own shares. With this latest purchase I read that only 10 mill. are not actually owned by the company. Sorry but I cannot understand this one. | janfindlater
29/7/2005 06:28 | Georgica are buying back their own shares at 94p up according to latest rns - bodes very, very well for the short term future (they usually wait until sub-issue price). | tooredtobleed
29/7/2005 05:40 | Yep, first time it has reacted this quickly to the results (at least upwards), will it finally burst through the 100 barrier? BTW 125 was the original price that they did the dirty on Allied Leisure, although there are two times as many shares in circulation now - I would guess that Oppenhein et al are looking for a 300 plus exit price (ie five times their investment allowing for the dilution) | tooredtobleed
28/7/2005 10:50 | At a first glance, H1 results look promising - and the market seems to think so... | siskinbird
27/7/2005 09:58 | High 2red. Thinking of returning to this on basis of planning gain. Bit confused about £60m loan.On 20/6 said buyback/pay off other debt - good. on 27/6 said would enable more outlets - more risky. Also on 27th said H1 results in July - so this week. | twirl
21/7/2005 10:42 | buy sell spread is slowly closing up | tooredtobleed
07/7/2005 06:07 | nice couole of days, lets hope for a bit more - 100 breakout! | tooredtobleed
30/6/2005 16:14 | Back into the dead zone, anything can and will happen... | tooredtobleed
29/6/2005 13:45 | Bit on ft.com about Georgica loan notes issue - no worries about credit rating but the market didn't like the way that Georgica could redeem the notes in two years time if it wanted to. | tooredtobleed
28/6/2005 14:23 | Yes, but still too wide a spread on the buy/sell prices to indicate any strong dance upwards yet. Be interesting to see, though, if the improved margins feed through to some serious profit increases again on the back of mild increase in sales. Still think it will break the ton soonish. | tooredtobleed
27/6/2005 16:59 | Reassuring RNS today and a nice little tick up in response. | siskinbird
22/6/2005 14:00 | If they are borrowing money in part to buy back recently issued shares suggest they see the co as seriously undervalued | tooredtobleed
20/6/2005 09:25 | Any views on today's RNS about fundraising? Is this method deemed to be preferable to a rights issue? | siskinbird
14/6/2005 16:34 | disappointing, this share has gone into quiet mode after what seemed like a pretty good set of results! | tooredtobleed
06/6/2005 15:41 | Done that before... | tooredtobleed
06/6/2005 09:25 | Breaking through 90 would be a start!! | siskinbird
06/6/2005 08:26 | Finaly had a very small upward movement this morning, trading in this share very hard to predict... can it break through 100 any time soon? | tooredtobleed
04/6/2005 08:54 | little bit in the Guardian: "Finally, keep an eye on Georgica, the Aim-listed leisure group in which activist investor North Atlantic Value has built a 6% holding. There was further evidence of stake-building yesterday as several large lines of stock changed hands at 80p. Georgica - which recently appointed Cenkos, Andy Stewart's new stockbroking operation, as advisers - is trying to realise value from its property portfolio. It has identified 12 sites that with the appropriate planning consents could be worth significantly more than their current value. Georgica shares closed unchanged at 79.5p. " | tooredtobleed
03/6/2005 16:14 | These results look good to me - although sales are pretty flat there are signs that the management know what they are doing, both in terms of squeezing costs and in terms of overall future strategy. Has anyone seen any press coverage? | siskinbird
31/5/2005 07:59 | first quarter results rns out... sales pretty stagnant but improvement in March and later months. good increase in net profit (32 per cent) exc increase in net cash flow and net debt now down to 84m Looks like they are moving in the right direction and no problems with the bank loans as that is all sorted now. Share price may take a day or three to react upwards. | tooredtobleed
24/5/2005 10:56 | spread of only 1p historically indicates large share price change due, though worrying that share price is going downwards direction... first quarter results due about now! | tooredtobleed |
