16/9/2010 11:47 | SL3 - Intersting and accuarte comment. It is exactly a year since I bought into GPK@298p and I can't remember exactly how I found them but I think I was researching GKP at the time and got my letters mixed up! So I call myself a dyslexic GKPer. Never invested in GKP and looking at the comparative charts below the performance has been similar over the 12 months BUT no sleepless nights with GPK - just keeps plodding on. Currently I have them as a hold until at least 2012. It will be interesting to look at the comparative chart below in 12 months time. I think there might be some rather dramatic divergence. Who knows which way but I much prefer slow and steady. SJ | sailing john
16/9/2010 11:31 | Its ironic that the "spivs" pile into GKP but GPK is on very few radar screens. I know which one i feel comfortable with. | stevenlondon3
16/9/2010 11:29 | Results due out end of sept as well. | pyemckay
16/9/2010 11:28 | Just to add to my forecast the other day. Over 4000 bopd now forecast with 4 well results still to come in. Add in the gas and it should take us up to 10000 boepd. I'm not a fan of boepd as it can appear misleading imo but it is encouaging that we will have grown the oil production from 1270 to over 4000 this year. Thats a huge increase in turnover and will produce a very nice profit going forward. | pyemckay
16/9/2010 11:23 | Fantastic result once again. I certainly sleep easy with this share in my portfolio. | pyemckay
16/9/2010 10:39 | Lovely result :) Well done GPK | loafingchard
16/9/2010 10:04 | Looks like the sleepy heads have finally woken up. But still only 7k traded! | sailing john
16/9/2010 08:45 | Brings the 2012 forecast for 93p EPS a bit more of a realistic target. | henryatkin
16/9/2010 08:37 | I think the market is asleep today - just 2k traded! so far This is just the sort of announcement we have been waiting for. Should be enough to push back up through £6 IMHO. | sailing john
16/9/2010 08:26 | A quiet thread shows GPK has not even been noticed by most. Share liquidity is the major issue here. If an Insti wants in they can't buy in quantity. Still a nice steady Pension Fund share. They will eventually get into the FTSE250, by that time I will have expected a share split / fund raising for a major project possibly South America, possibly outside Chile. | tracker
16/9/2010 07:44 | Ding Dong ! Another successful new oil well drill(9th out of 10 planned) with further drilling and new exploration area in the vicinity.. *flowed at a rate of approximately 1,660 barrels per day (bpd) of oil with no water *These are preliminary results and further production history will be required to determine stabilised flow rates (projected to be approximately 1,000 bpd) and the extent of the reservoir. *Petrophysical analysis also indicates the potential for additional production by perforating above the current interval. *preliminary 2P reserve estimate (internal) of approximately 2.8 million barrels of oil with multiple drilling opportunities. *possible additional structuring and resources in an up-dip position to the south. *The Guanaco 5 well is programmed to be drilled during 4Q10. *The new 3D seismic survey currently being interpreted also suggests an attractive prospect, Municion, to the east. *Testing and further operations will now be carried out on the Yagan Norte 2, Ayelen 2 and Alakaluf 9 wells during 3Q10 and 4Q10. | doolittle
14/9/2010 13:33 | Buying on run up to results. Maybe we will also have details of other well results which are due soon. | pyemckay
09/9/2010 16:57 | Was this a ruse to allow an opportunity for the 50000 odd buys? | doolittle
09/9/2010 16:26 | A few buys coming in now | loafingchard
09/9/2010 11:15 | Need more frequent newsflow to prevent boredom. | fromtheblue
09/9/2010 10:36 | agree sj - makes you wonder if this is not some sort of treeshake by the MMs. | melody9999
09/9/2010 09:52 | On 15 July 2010 Juan Cristobal Pavez, Non Executive Director purchased 963000 at 570p circa £5.5m I know Directors don't always get it right but that was one hell of an investment and price moved to 620 as a result. And...... Jo Public can now buy at 550p! DYOR SJ | sailing john
31/8/2010 13:16 | Methanex have posted a small increase to Ref price. Up nearly 3% from $349-$359/tonne for September. Moving in the right direction. | sailing john
27/8/2010 18:08 | Nice wee vote of confidence there - 250k at well over the offer | mustbefunny
18/8/2010 15:21 | If it falls on thin trading then it will rise on thin trading. I've only got sharescope forecasts to go on but if they get anywhere near next years estimate we will see a big rise from here. | henryatkin
18/8/2010 12:59 | ZUTA - I suspect the Director is clued up on the future prospects for the company though! He sees good value at 570p. However he still needs to wait until the market recognises the value - as do the rest of us. Looks like we may have bottomed out in which case we may go back up just as quickly on low volume as this is thinly traded. | melody9999
17/8/2010 18:43 | Can't believe the drop on so few shares traded........... | tracker
17/8/2010 16:18 | A case study in how directors are just as clueless as the rest of us re. the short term direction of the market | zutalors
16/8/2010 19:16 | Especially bearing in mind recent 963,000 director purchase at 570p on 15th July. | tracker
16/8/2010 18:40 | so PE less than 10 now and growth of 60% + into 2011. Looks a good time to top up. | melody9999 |
