Genel are spending $200m on drilling for reserve increases, if I've understood it right; GKP,$60m for production increases. Buy-backs will either increase the regret cost or boost the exploration success reward.

"...the recovery payment will be USD3.1 million. The override payment will be USD8.2 million. Given the proposed new schedule, Genel expects to receive both payments shortly."

We will be paid. Massive overeaction; we have seen it before.

"120p highly possible", only, in the absence of an oil price crash, if the appraisal wells on Sarta and Qara Dagh all fail to increase the resource size, I wonder?

Does anyone know why, when Genel suffered $320m impairment charge (due to falling oil price last year), that impairment charge can't now be reversed?

I get the point about more diversified subsurface risk over 70 wells on 4 blocks compared with GKP's far fewer wells on one block, Shaikan.

However, net production guidance is still 33k bopd, whereas GKP's might grow by beginning of Q2 2022. Any other points, I've missed, apart from different sensitivity of cash flow changes per barrel (arising from recovery of the deferred receivables) to oil price changes? Thanks for any help.

Thought is maybe they (DNO/GENL) have more balls and there are some more negotiations going on about back payment before pay up. Having had the current KRI financial issues explained in that online web seminar thing (I posted on here) I'm a bit more willing to accept the reduced payment. But normality is they pay or delay when they want to.

Didn't realise that GKP had been paid for March on 20/5 - very strange and explains why the share price is so limp.Should we start to worry?
