If I was CEO.......

So the first thing I would be thinking about is what I said to share holders I would do this year and have I done them.

Maximising the value of KRG assets was first. Well they are doing that in spades at Peshkabir and I would keep pumping money into this asset including building the pipeline needed.

Maintaining a strong balance sheet: maximising financial flexibility to execute our strategy. This is clearly relating to Bina Bawi and Miran. What a position to come from to negotiate with our potential partners. Debt free or on the cusp of. Just remember debt almost destroyed PMO and did Max Petroleium, Excite Energy and numerous others. We could easily tap up the markets for 100$ of millions when we are ready. This needs to be when a stable government is in place and there is further stability in Iraq. I wouldn't even be considering drilling for any gas or oil in either field at the moment. mid to late next year at the earliest. Forget about the GLA timescales, we look after KRG and their people and they will look after us. They are our friends.

Building a portfolio of high value assets: Well if the Somaliland results are positive I would now be talking to partner or more likely purchasers. I would look to flog this lot or go for a free carry. There are much better places to drill in with regard to security etc.

Whilst holding on to most of the money I might look to acquire some proven assets if I can get some from a distressed seller. There are numerous companies like RRL on the bones of their ass. Or I might see how much 10% of GKP would cost me. Proven assets which will produce for decades to come.

I would also looking at ticking over Taq Taq and Tawke with what ever is required and also look to dispose if possible of Morocco and do the blooming seismic and then flog.

So my strategy would be steady as she goes. No flashing light. Remember Genel were nearly destroyed by trying to take on the world and buying everything at high prices. We tried to run before we could walk.

Finally of course I would reward myself with some handsome share options for taking the share price from £1.25 to £2.70 in 6 months.

Any thoughts ?

GENL has a great advantage; the huge Turkish interest in the shares.

Turkey remains a key player in the future of the KRG and regional prosperity.

We also have Russia very much 'onside' as regards the development of Kurdistan assets; for example their commitment to our gas pipeline development.

Yes, politics still to be entirely resloved but, in the mean time, the cash rolls in in ever increasing amounts.

If SOMO take over management of kurdish oil payments, I Can't imagine Iraq gov will want anything to jeopardise continued oil field development, especially as they are having strife in the south

To my post of 30 Jul '18 - 12:03 - 25843

"Federal Supreme Court postponed ruling until 14/08"

Is the only thing holding us back ? Sounds like sales will still be made, just through SOMO but that could have cashflow impact if dealing with a new body.

Nevertheless the chart looks mega bullish to me, just ready for takeoff. 350 minimum within weeks, I'd say from the chart.
