And agree that it is difficult not to be altrustic when you are involved but I try to be.



If you are new to share trading I will tell you one thing.

The reason for the rapid rise and drop last time around is because of the very few shares in issue.
If you click on fundamentals at the top of the page you will see that it is only mid 50's.
The higher ones might move less rapidly either way.
It is something old timers look out for and protect themselves by selling some as I have done too,if we feel a share has 'over-reached' itself.
It doesn't mean it is no good; it's just a technical problem.
We cannot know yet about it's success or not, but a deal with a big company the market liked on the day.
I hope they will announce further about the commercial deal but nothing is guaranteed.

I didn’t own any of these during the first hype phase, so have escaped any of the disappointment some feel. Only bought in since the recent announcement re Beckman Coulter actually starting sales.
The shares should continue to climb as it’s going to be built on sales not hope.

I was underwater for some time in these but by some fluke averaged down near the bottom. I made a reasonable profit in the end but I understand your dilemma if you are just at break even. I almost quit as soon as I was in profit but am glad I didn't. There have been no figures mentioned as yet but The US is huge and they need testing badly. I'm waiting for the next big surge and then I'm out

rayj1 - Nice polite question but very difficult to answer - It all depends on your buy price and attitude to risk.

Personally I will probaly ride the wave but am on a free ride as have sold 50% and profits taken exceed cost of balance - In case of a bad rns will possibly sell balance to preserve current profit - If good and share price rockets will re-evaluate - If it appears that they have had a technical break-through will probably hold for a possible 10 bag+ (OK very extreme possibility but imo possible if all technical targets met)

Imo you should not risk to much in this, DB has lied before and cost investors a ton of cash...just be careful here another cash call is due I reckon.Gla.

I'd say limited downside risk from here - the BC deal should underpin the share price. I halved my holding last week and have tucked the rest away for the medium term.

I don't think it's appropriate for any of us to advise anybody rayj1.
You know your own circumstances and comfort zone.
This is still a hot sector,though, and we are expecting another announcement soon.
Depending on the flavour,that will dictate which way it goes. 8-)

This is fairly key I believe and in fairness they might not announce I guess reading it again.

Reading the messages seems seem to be very mixed. I am in a break even at the moment and thinking to hold or sell, what's the views ? Worth holding on or just sell and be safe ?

Problem on ADVFN threads 90 percent are novice investors ....They have absolutely no clue of risk management ....They are playing Geko in a bull market ... very few are going to survive ...more than 90 percent of them WILL end up in the poor house.Sad but very true. Not to mention how they all turn in to key board warriors...But the outcome will be the same, eaten by the cleverest big fish !!
